Got the dress, now for the shoes and the bag...

Big wedding next month and have bought this to wear.

Not got a clue what to do about shoes and a bag. Help!

I really don't want to spend too much on either as I am stingy (I was going to give a more reasonable reason, but I would have been lying)

plain white clutch

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:15

if it was me

id get the next wedges that i linked (twice!)

but i dont think id get any of these bags

the bag is proving difficult

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:15

actually id just think "bugger it" and get the dune one waaaaaaaaaay back at start of thread

are you srue the new look blue ones are nthe wrong shade

youknownothingofthecrunch · 22/04/2008 14:16

Tutter - yes, that bag is a lot more me.

I looked at those slingbacks for a long time, my only worry is that New Look shoes have always seemed excrutiatingly painful to walk in. I do like the next ones though.

And I like that croc bag - might be a bit better with the dress than the shiny snakeskin one.

I like the white slingbacks from New Look and first Linea white clutch

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:17

get the next ones if you thik the m&s bow ones are twee

and i know what you mean by new look shoes. i cant wear them either

youknownothingofthecrunch · 22/04/2008 14:18

Np - sadly yes - they're too turquois. The dune ones are lovely - what are their shoes like for comfort?

do you ahve a dune near you? you could try them if you have time. they are wedges so i dont think will be likely to hurt

says the ever optimist...

they dotn seem to high

youknownothingofthecrunch · 22/04/2008 14:28

The more I look at them the lovelier they look. No Dune anywhere near me - but I could always send them back if they're no good (says she knowing she'd wear them anyway)

I do hate the idea of wearing white shoes - couldn't even keep my wedding shoes clean for 5 minutes!

OP posts:
nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:30

yes i know exactly wht you mean

as you sau you can always send them back. i thnk they are gorgeous!

if not suitable id get the next white wedges and a plain white clutch

good luck!

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:31

what bag are you going to get with the dune shoes?

youknownothingofthecrunch · 22/04/2008 14:35

Now there's a question! I quite like the last one linked, but if I'm getting blue shoes I can get a blue bag - which would be a lot more sensible and more useable.

OP posts:
youknownothingofthecrunch · 22/04/2008 14:40

is this too textured and odd?

Now this definitely goes with the shoes, but does it match the dress? www.aldoshoes.com/eng/storeSection/redirect.cfm?sectionID=b2c/style/productDetails.cfm&itemID=681837 55&&var=d&ckey=UK&colorid=52

OP posts:

bump

OP posts:
nailpolish · 22/04/2008 16:31

i think you should order the 2nd one there and hope itll match

im quite optimistic

the topshop one is fine for a wedding abroad

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 16:31

it would be so graet if that aldo one matched

youknownothingofthecrunch · 22/04/2008 17:26

I have ordered the shoes

Can't wait to try them on. I think I will wait to see if an exact replica of the aldo bag appears in the perfect colour

Thank you for all your help, you have saved me from drabness.

Argh! Nailpolish!

The shoes have arrived but they are purple rather than blue (very misleading photo).

But the real problem is that I tried them on with the dress and they look gorgeous! But they will kill my feet stone dead if I wear them all day. Am off to buy some party feet in a bit (I hope they fit).

So do I send them back or accept that I look gorgeous and suffer?
