Got the dress, now for the shoes and the bag...

Big wedding next month and have bought this to wear.

Not got a clue what to do about shoes and a bag. Help!

I really don't want to spend too much on either as I am stingy (I was going to give a more reasonable reason, but I would have been lying)

GAW - yes, like those

So I think I'm definitely going to go with white wedges. Bag to match?

One more question - must I have a white bag if I have white shoes? I think I'm going to get the shoes Auntie suggested (thanks Auntie), have had a look for a bag, but am failing.

TIA

IMO yes. Always looks better.

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 13:21

i will look for a white bag, but white bags can be a bit shit, so if you saw a brilliant blue one i honestly think that would be ok

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 13:26

here

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 13:29

glitzy

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 13:30

heres a blue one?

all out glitz

youknownothingofthecrunch · 22/04/2008 13:54

Why is it that I can normally find anything I want online, but when it comes to this sort of thing I can't find anything?!

Thank you NP, think the glitzy one is a bit too glitzy for me, but I like the first one - very wedding-y.

So, here is the outfit this dress these shoes in white this bag

What do you think?

Although I keep coming back to this bag here - tell me it would look rubbish and won't match. Put me out of my misery.

Love the dress, both bags are lovely and would go. Not so keen on the shoes personally- but they do all go

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:01

that is ivory and too glitzy posh. the dress andthe shoes are not near that on the glitz scale so its a no from me

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:02

jeeeez why am i fiding it so difficult to find a leather clutch? just a plain one? i think that would do superbly

Tutter · 22/04/2008 14:03

yy to a clutch

but beaded not quite right imo - would look right with an obviously-eveningy dress (LBD or velvety or something)

i think a patent/metallic clutch would be great

will have a gander when i can

youknownothingofthecrunch · 22/04/2008 14:04

Thank you NP, I am duly convinced.

TSM, any ideas for shoes are welcome. I will need something heeled but comfy - this looked the best (although I must admit that I am planning on removing the bow at the front)

OP posts:
Tutter · 22/04/2008 14:05

this quite good

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:06

WHAT?? i forbid you to remove the bow at the front. they will be granny shoes if you do

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:06

nice bag

Tutter · 22/04/2008 14:07

would also do the job

youknownothingofthecrunch · 22/04/2008 14:07

just feel the bow is a bit... twee?

OP posts:
Tutter · 22/04/2008 14:09

sorry, just seen summary of outfit below

shoes fine

bag bad - too twee

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:09

i fyou plan to remove the bow then get these instead

Tutter · 22/04/2008 14:09

much better white clutch

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:10

or the white slingbacks?

nailpolish · 22/04/2008 14:11

lacy number

youknownothingofthecrunch · 22/04/2008 14:12

Ok - I shall leave the bow I bow to your superior knowledge.

So, I've got it the wrong way round - it's the bag that is too twee?
