DISCLAIMER: you are not me so you may hate it.

'Tis from H&M, green t-shirty skirt just above knee with elasticated embroidered smocking over boobs and tie-straps. Will effortlessly go from garden recliner to playground! Is very flattering. And was only £10!

Cannot find a link though

well for you maybe

us with flabby upper arms require some coverage in that area

I saw those the other day, they are lovely

UnderRated · 21/04/2008 19:23

Did the have lots of dresses, FMF? Any with straps? I think I may need to go to H&M

JackieNo · 21/04/2008 19:23

Sounds lovely, though not possible to wear a bra under it, so not for the large of nork, presumably?

UnderRated · 21/04/2008 19:26

That was my concern, Jackie

Fullmoonfiend · 21/04/2008 20:10

I have strapless bra (although small, I get squashed shapeless by that smocking!)

They had lots of dresses, some lovely ones but bright colours. This is my fave sludgey green.
And I am trying not to think about 5-yr-olds in sweat shops - I hardly ever by anything new is my crap defense!

You haven't really bought a dress just for the school run - have you?

(am I missing something - yet again)

Fullmoonfiend · 21/04/2008 20:15

lol Mercy, no it's one of cod's holy grails which starts this time of year - a dress you can wear in hot weather for sunbathing and blobbing in garden and is also ok for school playground! Without too much naked lobster flesh
etc

This looks ace over jeans though and I have a fab little short sleeved turquoise cardi which can go over until it is scorching summer [hopeful]

Oh I see!!

I'm hoping it's not a scorching summer tbh. Pre-kids, hot weather was no problem but especially since being pg with ds during the heatwave of 2003 I just can't hack it any more.

Mine is from Next but they have taken it off their site.
It was in their spring summer catalogue.

This H&M one sounds lovely.

Novicecamper · 22/04/2008 08:51

Crikey, is it the norm to get yerself a dress just for the school run these days?

GrapefruitMoon · 22/04/2008 08:53

Can you imagine Grace Kelly with visible bra straps? Well then....

Oh crikey am I to be expected to have a school run wardrobe when DS goes to school . A whole new world awaits!

Fllight · 22/04/2008 09:01

Ohhhh....I planned to have gorgeous long flowing hair by the time ds was at school. What did I do?
hack it all off after ds2 came along.

damn fule I am

Fullmoonfiend · 22/04/2008 09:03

YY LL, exactly that style - but slusgey green with turquoise and light green embroidery on bust.

Sigh, I am being tongue-in-cheek with the school run thing, you know...I really like it as I can whip it off easily to go swimming when I am farting about by the river and it is great for festivals!

Cod will explain the concept of the school run dress better than I...

BugBearisBugBear · 22/04/2008 09:03

that is lovely LL, wish I had small boobies.

Small problem re school run/summer dress - aren't schools, like, shut in the summer?

Fullmoonfiend · 22/04/2008 09:04

Novice camper - that's lovely!

I have Fat Face tastes but H&M budget...
