I really want some dresses to wear with flat sandals on my holiday.

I struggle being 5'2", pear shaped and only small chest size.

and if you lovely people could also suggest for me 5', skinny but apple shaped that would be great too

maidamess · 20/04/2008 20:12

this is empire line, a -line and sweet

I am 5ft 1 and tried on quite a few dresses yesterday. Primark have some lovely styles in and new look. I find knee lenghth (or just past) look best and bandeau top.
ill try a link

widgypog · 20/04/2008 20:15

pretty also available in green

maidamess · 20/04/2008 20:15

Have a look at Dorothy Perkins website too, Gok is there talking about what shapes suit you . I think bandeaus look good on apples!

the only thing with the bandaus is I wore one all through my pregnancy with dd2 and it reminds me of that time lol!!

The thing I find with loads of dresses is they fit ok on the hips and then are enourmous on the chest, really winds me up!

ooh and I tried on a couple of dresses in H and M too..they were noce and cheap. Dresses are difficult .that why I like the bandeau ones cause I am an hourglass and dresses always gap on my waist ans back

maidamess · 20/04/2008 20:51

melsy do you have a flattish stomach (as pears often do) If so altho that asos dress is lovely, it would hide your slimmest part as it has a lot of fabric over the stomach and under the boobs.

southeastastra · 20/04/2008 20:53

look at these ones

maidamess · 20/04/2008 20:54

I think those are great southeast....if you are a Pussy Cat Doll!

southeastastra · 20/04/2008 20:59

they're nicer in rl maidamess

melsy · 20/04/2008 21:02

I like the cut of the 1st tea shirt one SEA, but not in grey. The rest are a bit errmm boobyish!!!!!!!!

You might be right about that dress cut on the Asos one maidamess.

I need something to hide my flabby tummy and I need to be able to wear my gel filled bra - any more suggestions?

http://www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?segname=Women&styid=WH110&segid=6&gpname=Dresses&desname=Essential+Su mmer+Dress&gpid=6&gen=1#img I never thought I would . What do you think in the blue?

Going shopping tommmorow to start on my summer hols search. I only have 2 dresses from the last few years, one really great cheapy one from Tescos last yr in white and blue and a similar cut from Hennes 3 yrs back in a stripe cheesecloth style. Both strappy though.

I just got this dress
I had to send it back for a larger size as it is small around the chest (and I'm all of a c-cup, as breastfeeding atm)
It also struck me as being made for someone shorter than me, I'm 5'7"
