No Next sale preview

I’ve just booked my Next VIP sale slot and can normally preview although I don’t have this option this time, anyone else?

I actually didn't notice that until I saw your thread pop up! I didn't get a preview either and I did the last time. I spend a fortune too so I think it's unfair 😕 I'm really hoping there's nothing I like but still need to look lol

Not everyone gets one otherwise it wouldn't be a vip slot .

They give them out depending on your sales etc and even then you don't get one every time

leapinglizard1234 - we know not everyone gets a VIP invite, it's the actual preview of the sale beforehand that we're discussing which up until this sale everyone has always got.

I do return a fair bit, but I also keep a lot! I have never, ever not had a preview before, so this is clearly fairly new. I just don't understand why the reason hasn't been addressed by Next.

Surely people might buy more if there is a preview as you can have a good look at everything

Arafon - you would think so. I think they're going to sell their stock regardless, seems to me based on giving the people who don't spend massively the chance to preview they obviously want to get them more on board by giving them a better chance of buying the best items but I think all they're doing is upsetting their customers already on board spending lots of money with them. To be fair to all, everyone should be able to see the preview.

I'm in the same boat. I spend a lot, have the first slot: Wednesday 2pm, but for the first time ever I have no preview and no message to tell me one is coming. If this is a new thing they're doing with new criteria, why haven't they made anyone aware or sent out guidance? I'm really annoyed.

I'm the same.
It's really annoying. Depending when they make the preview available I might not have time to look. Due to a hospital appointment on weds afternoon I have about 10 mins to place the order so if I can't look in good time beforehand I won't be ordering.

No preview here either. I like to note down the numbers and then just order. May not bother with this sale now. Spent so much with them too.

I have queried this with Next and this is the reply I got.

The Preview has been divided into three distinct categories:

  1. Normal Preview - This will be accessible from Registration Day (Saturday 14.09.24) until the start time of their shopping slot.
  2. 9am Tuesday Preview - Preview will be available ONLY from 9am on Tuesday 17.09.24 until the start time of their shopping slot.
  4. Customers in this category will see a countdown to the Preview banner.
  6. Once their Preview time begins, the banner will update to display a countdown to the start time of their shopping slot.
  7. No Preview - Customers in this category will have NO Preview option and will only be able to access the VIP Sale site when their shopping slot begins.
  9. They will see a countdown banner for their shopping slot time ONLY.

ive got the 2pm Wednesday slot but I can’t access the preview until tomorrow. I do order regularly although return some things.
I don’t really get the reasoning behind changing how the preview works.

Both myself and my sister got the Wednesday 2pm slot, she could preview straight away, I can’t yet. This happened at the last vip sale too and I could see it 24hrs before. I would say I probably order more than her, maybe it’s to stop those who order more from waiting for the sale, eg. I bought 2 items on Saturday but only because my sister checked they weren’t in the sale, otherwise I would’ve waited.

I’ve just spoken to next customer service myself as I don’t have sale preview either. I was told it’s because of the number of high returns.

It can't be returns as I return loads, I have a local store so it's easy for me to pop stuff back and I got full preview

I return quite a lot but I also keep a lot too. I feel like I'm hearing a lot of online stores now penalising customers for making returns, recently. I won't shop the sale now as I don't have a preview - so I'll be penalised further as if you book a slot but don't use it, that's another mark against your name! I'm really annoyed as I return all items myself to store etc and they make far more money out of me than they spend. Seems I'm saying farewell to next!

I was wondering the same. My preview opens tomorrow morning and my slot is Wednesday at 2pm. I spend around £150-200 with them during each sale. Luckily I'm off this week so have time to make my lists using the preview as I usually do but it would be really inconvenient during a working week.

Cant be to do with returns. My account has only been opened with them for 6 months and i have not returned any items. I have access to the sale on Wednesday at 2pm but have only got access to the preview from tomorrow.

I think that the people on the phone lines probably don't know as this would all be sorted out elsewhere but if someone does ring and they have made some returns they just say that as it could be.

I have my slot on Wednesday at 4pm and I can’t preview it either. I spend loads with them too! Sooo annoying

I have a tab saying view sale preview, but when I click on it, it says 'sorry the sale hasn't started yet'.

I've just looked and I can see the preview now.
