What could be done with my lips? Pics

I don’t want huge bubble lips. But want them a bit plumper. Really not happy with them and sometimes get mocked (light heartedly) for having no top lip 😆

I worry filler will make them wonky, even if it’s the tiniest amount. Is there really no other option?

I know everyone here is telling you not to touch your lovely lips.

your lips ARE lovely - and a really nice shape. Mine are similar and have thinned a bit as I’ve got older. I have 0.5ml filler - no one would know there was anything done to them. They look entirely natural and a tiny bit fuller / less flat when I smile. It makes me happy.

you do you! If you want filler - go to a dr that specialises in facial aesthetics - not some random nail / lash salon that’s decided to diversify…

I suspect that the people around you use so much Botox and lip filler that you've all had your perception distorted and have forgotten what lips look like. This is exactly what those industries want.

I agree with this as well.

Mybusyday · 26/08/2024 20:02

Huh?? Your lips already look gorgeous!

Blueuggboots · 26/08/2024 20:13

You have perfectly normal, perfectly lovely lips.

Please don't ruin them and look like every other young woman???!!

Injected lips look ridiculous.

HamSad · 26/08/2024 20:15

Please don't ruin your lips (that I would LOVE to have) with filler. It looks awful, always.

circular1985 · 26/08/2024 20:18

Your have lovely lips, filler or no filler, though you do look like you've had filler in the second pic but it could be how you're pouting.

gillefc82 · 26/08/2024 20:26

So personally I don’t think your lips need anything, they are a lovely shape and have volume. However, I know it’s how you feel that’s important and I do understand how critical it is for us all to feel comfortable and confident in our own skin.

Instead of filler, I’d suggest a lip flip. This is Botox injected in such a way that your top lip looks fuller but only lasts 3/4 months. It looks more natural but will give that look of more volume and you don’t need to worry about the filler migrating or if you don’t like it, getting it dissolved.

Glitterglitch · 26/08/2024 20:34

Lovely. Just what anyone who’s had surgery wants to hear.

@gamesandvideos what did I say that was offensive? If you only wanted fawning perhaps you should have said that.

Pibrea · 26/08/2024 20:38

Google ‘thin lips’ and ‘no top lip’ and compare to your own picture. You clearly have nice full lips and whoever is mocking you is probably pumped full of filler. Have a look at Kate Middleton, who is considered to be very naturally beautiful, she has incredibly thin lips compared to you. Big lips are just another trend that will soon pass, don’t fall for it.

Mirabai · 26/08/2024 20:40

OP you have a lovely mouth and straight white teeth. You need to step away from the mirror and find something worthwhile to focus on.

HolidayAtNight · 26/08/2024 20:41

These pairs of arrows are the same size, against each lip (copied and pasted). You definitely do not have a thin top lip!

You have beautiful lips and a stunning smile. Don't mess with it, lips with filler never look as good as people think!

Enoughwiththisshit · 26/08/2024 21:36

@feelitallagain your lips and smile are absolutely perfect. Genuinely beautiful. Please don't ruin your natural gorgeousness with filler!

cosyleafcafe · 26/08/2024 21:39

I find it so weird when people say they want to look "done".

OP, you look great. Go enjoy your life and stop worrying.

I agree. Why on earth does someone want to look so artificial?

feelitallagain · 26/08/2024 21:51

I appreciate the comments. I’ve got a firm ‘I told you so’ from my Nan, who has been effing and blinding at me for ‘thinking of mucking up my fucking face, you girls think you’re clever’ (she’s a cockney) 😄

In life I don’t always like her answers. But she has never been wrong. So I guess I will stay with my lips as they are

She once agreed that a wedding dress didn’t look right and to return it! So I know she doesn’t lie

OldTinHat · 26/08/2024 21:53

Don't mess about with filler. You can buy lip plumping gloss and lipstick.

bryceQ · 26/08/2024 21:54

You've got really nice lips and a lovely smile. Wouldn't remotely classify these as thin lips.

Idontjetwashthefucker · 26/08/2024 21:57

Your 2nd pic definitely looks like you've had filler, you have the 'ridge' at the top

WearsblackLoveschocolateAvoidspeople · 26/08/2024 21:58

Your Nan is a wise woman.

Loubelle70 · 26/08/2024 22:04

Come on OP...are you fishing for compliments? You know theres nothing wrong with your lips.

Hardknocks · 26/08/2024 22:09

Your lips are lovely 😭 I had 0.5ml filler to reshape mine (and some in my chin) before my wedding (and bloody loved it but can’t afford to do it again) but I really didn’t have a top lip 😂 I’m posting my before/after but that was with some bruising the next day.

If you really want to test it out, get 0.5ml, go to someone that is medically trained (a nurse, ideally), there are so many awful people out there, you need to do your research. Worst case scenario, it dissolves after 12 months.
