Let's talk summer dresses

Look at this in the not-so-big stripes. Isn't it a fab summer dress? Any other fab summer dresses out there? (Just on the vague offchance that we get a summer this year, that is...)

That dress sure is purdy!

janeite · 15/04/2008 21:13

It's lovely - fab shape - and seems very well-priced. What a pity it's only in blue - I HATE blue and look as if I've been dead for several months if I try to wear it!

southeastastra · 15/04/2008 21:14

those smaller stripes are really flattering, i just bought a really nice top in the same design.

Roseylea · 15/04/2008 21:14

I am not too sure about the bigger lighter blue stripy one though - it may make me (size 12 / 14, pear shape) look ginormous.

mmmm.

Quadrophenia · 15/04/2008 21:15

I love it in the big stripes its wicked.

Lizzylou · 15/04/2008 21:16

I almost bought this at the weekend, then had an attck of the sensibles as I don't really have occasion to wear it.
But I may reconsider as I am sick of jeans/cropped trousers

Roseylea · 15/04/2008 21:18

You could wear it to the park on a hot day, with sandals and a nice big bag, eh?

southeastastra · 15/04/2008 21:19

there are so many nice dresses around this year

Lizzylou · 15/04/2008 21:20

But then I'd show my knickers whilst rescuing DS2 and end up covered in mud (they both find it anywhere, even in a drought) and my lovely swishy dress would be ruined!

I have this dress from Monsoon loads and loads of lovely day dresses in there

Lizzylou · 15/04/2008 21:22

That is lovely, Quadrophenia.

Roseylea · 15/04/2008 21:23

Hmm...I see what you mean! I bought a beautiful top this week and spilled curry sauce down it! Vanish stick hasn't quite cured it, it's still a bit yellow. And I can't even blame it on the dc as they were in bed at the time!

Quadrophenia · 15/04/2008 21:23

my lovely sister bought it for me could never afford it myself

Lizzylou · 15/04/2008 21:23

Jeans it is then!

Roseylea · 15/04/2008 21:24

That dress is lovely Quadrophenia, and eminently wearable.

I only have brothers, they'd never dream of buying me a dress.

Waaaah!

I am cursed by males (albeit lovely ones)

I love bold clothes, the first dress i like as it is very 'mod' and the second one is my grown up dress.

Quadrophenia · 15/04/2008 21:30

I can't read my book as it is drying on the radiator, I left it on the table in the rain!!!

southeastastra · 15/04/2008 21:31

i love monsoon, just wish i could afford it or at least have reason to have a nice dress or two
