Is there such a thing as proper cotton knickers that pull you in abit?

Honestly I was fooled into those big bamboo knickers that everyone on instagram raves about. Lovely patterns terrible product. All hot and sweaty and no control at all even though they go to your belly button. M and S are good but not the material for this weather. The chemo is just so sweaty. Any ideas?

on a similar subject any nice practical bra top things with no clasps for a 36H and not thick sweaty things. I’m going to a festival soon so I’m all about ease of getting on and off.

Another shout out for Wirarpa from Amazon. The ones I got look like y-fronts, as someone on here already mentioned. A 4-pack, one each of pale green, pink, orange and yellow. They give you a lovely line under dresses but are also superbly comfy. I thought they might be too warm in the summer, but I wore them on a city break to Seville a few weeks ago, in temperatures close to 40 degrees, and they were brilliant. I'll never buy Sloggi again!

DH did complain that the Wirarpa y front ones weren't sexy but got shut down very quickly 😂

For the Wirarpa would you size up or down? I’m a 12-14 so between the M & L so not sure which to try

There's quite a lot of give in these pants and yes they still hold you in, but I went with the Amazon size recommendation. I don't recall what that was.

I'm a 14 with a big belly and got the large - they're perfect.
(If measurements help, I've just looked at a pair of mine here and laid flat on the bed, they measure 35 cm across from edge to edge on the grey waistband part).

I can live with maybe not in your face sexy (but l do like bright colours and a touch of lace!) but l do want pretty. When l’m seen in my knix, l want to look nice 😀.

Me too. Not bothered about underwear looking a bit like a bit of engineering has gone into them, but they need to not be beige or 1000 wash grey white.

Another fan of Amazon Wirapa which I found out about on MN. Love them and don't find them thick or hot to wear. So comfortable. Great colours too.
