Unscented, no white marks, not slimy, anti perspirant roll on

Hi all,

I'm looking for the Holy Grail! I don't like antiperspirant that smells. I don't like white marks on my navy tops or yellow marks on my white cotton blouses.

I don't like feeling slimy and having to blow on my armpits to dry them.

Can anyone suggest a solution? I was using a sure 72hr roll on for the last few years that although smelled, was inoffensive. I've bought four replacements since it was discontinued and given them all to my teenDD who doesn't mind smelling of flowers...

I can't use mitchum as although I did for many years, they have added fragrance to the unfragranced and I can smell it all day. I don't want to smell. Of anything!

Looking for ideas please.

X

You need a stick not a roll on. All roll ons are slimy and need to wait to dry. Try the Mitchum 24 stick for women - mint green packaging - goes on dry, doesn’t stain or transfer, smells entirely neutral

Droolylabradors · 22/07/2024 12:28

Thanks @Delphigirl but I disagree, the mitchum one has a strong odour, I had to stop using it when they changed the recipe about 3/4yrs ago.

That said I only gave up on the roll on, I could go and give the stick a go.

Do you find it drags the skin in your armpit when it's a dry stick?

I really miss alcohol in roll ons. They dried in seconds.

It doesn’t drag I don’t think. I really don’t get a smell from it at all really

Delphigirl · 22/07/2024 12:32

I used to use the dove unscented stick but they did change the formula of that and it stopped working

Cyclistmumgrandma · 22/07/2024 12:33

I use Mitchum roll on, the "No white marks" is also unscented I think. Yes, it needs to dry so I go back to bed and listen to The Archers with my arms up on the pillow. 13 minutes is perfect and the roll on is dry and non slimy when I get dressed and it doesn't leave white marks.

Droolylabradors · 22/07/2024 12:43

Thanks @Cyclistmumgrandma but I don't want mitchum, it does smell after they changed the recipe and is def not unfragranced.

And I am usually putting it on 30secs before I leave the house. With my old Sure this was fine, but they don't make it any more, I even wrote to the makers.

I was really hoping someone might have heard of something I can get online that does the job, I've sniffed them all in Boots and the smells are all hideous. I've been imwearing a man's one as although the smell is strong at least it isn't flowers!

@DoopSnoggySnogg i did see Vichy when I was looking. Does it leave marks on your clothes?

I haven’t found it leaves marks at all, can only really speak regarding black clothes as that’s what I wear for work when I sweat most! But not noticed any issues on lighter tops either.

Droolylabradors · 22/07/2024 12:50

@DoopSnoggySnogg thank you, I'll go and have a sniff if I can find it locally! Hadn't heard of a Vichy deo before today.

@MsMarple thank you, I knew it wasn't just me!!!! Mitchum scents are revolting and even the night after you've applied it you can smell it 😖

So I just took a chance after smelling all the deos in Boots and bought the Vichy unscented and also a mitchum cream. I couldn't open it in the shop. Just opened it at home and OMG it smells like Johnson baby wipes which I hated when I had actual babies 😣

So another £5 wasted on a deo that claims to be unscented! I even checked the ingredient list and no perfume was mentioned!!!

Let's hope the £10 vichy is worth it!!!

Well I take it you've tried more popular products like this. By the way, for me at least, I'll put anti perspirant on every day even if it claims '72 hours'. They've a vested interest in being slightly optimistic aha ...

MerryTealSnail · 22/07/2024 19:58

Ah well I've seen you've made a purchase already, certainly dont wait around aha

LindorDoubleChoc · 22/07/2024 20:02

I think you need a stick rather than a roll on. I've been using the Sanex 0% aluminium one for years with no complaints.

Droolylabradors · 22/07/2024 21:19

Thanks all! Dove is useless. I still smelt of BO with it. (that was an online lockdown purchase for me).

I just don't understand why I can't have a roll on that doesn't smell AT ALL and is ALSO no white/yellow marks.

Why isn't this item on the market?? <stamps feet>

I did look at the Vichy 'no marks' deo, but it smelt as bad as the others.

OP posts:
Droolylabradors · 22/07/2024 21:20

@LindorDoubleChoc is that unfragranced?

Twistyripple · 22/07/2024 21:20

Perspirex. Best anti perspirant I have EVER used. Genuinely stops me sweating completely and lasts for days once it's built up. You use it at night and wash off in the morning. Initially it's each night but now I only reapply twice a week. It's fantastic.

HighburyLass · 22/07/2024 21:24

I use this (as does dh who really hates scented deodorants)

www.savers.co.uk/Mum/Mum-Roll-On-Unperfumed-50ml-50%25-Free/p/413097

It's very inexpensive. Doesn't smell. Is effective. Doesn't leave marks on clothes.
Not sure how quick it dries tbh!

But at just over £1 it's worth a try

Droolylabradors · 23/07/2024 06:06

@HighburyLass sounds great! I would have assumed mum would be like dove in it's effectiveness. I'll nip to savers today!

My daughter thinks it's great as she's getting all the cast offs that don't work for me 😁

Have you tried the Pitrok stick? Not sure if it’s a stick. It’s just a lump of salt, basically. It works amazingly for me, but can make my underarms feel slightly prickly from time to time. Smells of nothing and is surprisingly effective.

Droolylabradors · 23/07/2024 07:36

I had a sniff of the pitrock but I could smell it, thanks though!

I wouldnt mind a prickly armpit though, I really miss alcohol in deodorants, felt so much more effective. I'm not sensitive l, I just hate the horrible synthetic smells.

And yellow marks on my white cotton blouses! (it's def deo, not suncream)
