You definitely could, the colour isn’t ideal but it would be fine and the styles would go together nicely. I love the shoes- where are they from?

They are both lovely. The shoes would be ok but not the colour that would look best - the dress is quite light and shoes dark - bronze/ gold would be better

like @ridingfreely says they’re just a touch dark for the dress, which doesn’t have any black in it.

The dress has enough going on and is structured enough that I think you can get away with them though.

Both items are lovely, the shoes would be better in a nude with that dress (or one of the colours in it).

Pink and blue. Agree with PP, nude would have been a good colour to go with this dress.

Either of the colours much better than the black (the dress has no black in it, so it just appears that you've got one pair of black shoes that you wear with everything.)

The one you chose is absolutely lovely but there are others that have a bit more drama to them. Would more drama fit the bill or not?

@heldinadream I guess I am trying to find something age-appropriate. I am a bit shocked to be nearly 60, if I’m honest. In my head, I am 30-ish.

Well I'm nearly 70 and I would wear some of the more dramatic ones! This one for instance. Same price-ish, same kind of good shape, bit more drama in the print. Pink or blue shoes would still go, too.

But I reiterate - the one you have chosen is lovely, I am not dissing it!

Your original dress and shoe choice are perfect OP, I really dislike the idea of pulling out a colour from the dress and mathing your accessories that way, personally I think that's dated. The dress and shoes are great and go nicely together, IMO.
