The Helly Hansen one I posted is £88 on the Canadian website OP, so it is significantly cheaper than the U.K.

Ilse Jacobsen - lots of different styles but really well made and waterproof.

I can't speak for all of Canada but where I lived near (we were just over the border into the USA) people wore proper outdoor clothing even over smart clothes, people cared about being warm and dry rather than stylish

Buy something when you are out there. There will be much more choice and suitability.
