Wedding Guest - Appropriate?!

I've bought this Club L London cape style midi dress (in navy) with the view to wearing it at an upcoming October wedding.

Not sure if:

a.) the dress is at all wedding guest appropriate?

b.) this amazing headpiece would work with the dress?! (or is it way too over the top?!)

c.) if positive responses to both of the above - do I just wear gold strappy sandals, or pick a shoe colour?

Wedding is a cousin of DH's, so the last thing I want to do is look to draw attention, and I know the cape style is a bit dramatic in itself?! But I've two babies, and struggling to find the fun in my style again.

Will be a fairly large wedding at a family run hotel local to bride and groom.

Another vote for going for it with the headband..sometimes in life you just have to say fuck it and go for it! Both the headband and the dress are stunning! Look on it as the cost of the whole outfit, rather than the headband cost on its own, so under £500 for an absolute showstopper of an outfit sounds like a bargain to me!

Update: bought the headband at 20% off 🥰

Realised that I have another occasion at the end of July I could also wear it to (with a pink dress) - so cost per wear improved dramatically!

Unfortunately the heels are now out of stock in my size, but I'm sure I'll find something else in one of the headband colours.

Such a fun, contemporary and yet classic look. Love it! Why not try neutral metallics for accessories, a soft gold to match the headband settings

I love the headpiece but the dress looks kind of dated. Like it was really fashionable a year ago.
The sleeves are too dramatic, too Halloweeny.

Saw these in both lime and a kind of petrol colour?! Trying to decide which (if either!) is a better pick out of colour...

I think the petrol ones might look like you're trying to match the hair band.

I already have the gold ones, they are Sam Edelman and the style is called "Kia" - they do them in loads of colours, I have the soft gold (which I'm not sure they still sell?) and also the cappuccino suede, super comfortable!
