I'm starting a new healthy living programme as of today and want to start getting to my bed early.
Do any of you use a lovely smelling shower gel that will have me all relaxed and drowsy for heading to bed?

Any and all other sleep tips gratefully received.
I'm aiming to be in bed for 9p.m and hopefully asleep before 10p.m

I enjoy watching one of the many ASMR videos on YouTube. They really calm my brain, especially the hair play/scalp checks. Might work?

File and paint the nails!! Last year I actually kept a sleep diary. It did work. I have a huge amount of books but sleep experts.... proper registered medics. I was nursing over 40 years, but some of the terminology is very difficult to understand. I followed the lovely Dr. Michael Mosleys advice, I took the dogs out at 10pm,if I was getting sleepy on the sofa, then I was still wide awake at 2 am. Get up if you aren't asleep within 15 minutes (Ive never gone to sleep that quick in my life) go back to bed when you feel sleepy....I never did! I just went into full "Nightshift mode". I have given up worrying,I'm still alive,my immune system isn't shot.

The Newson Balance app recommends 3 drops of lavender essential oil on your pillow

Wow, thanks everyone!
I'm going to dig out a notebook and make a plan.
These are great tips.

I found the magnesium and took one at the back of 9, had a rooibos tea and went to bed, DH said I was asleep for 10pm.
Woke up at the back of six this morning, feeling amazing and have got lots done this morning so far.
