Hi everyone

I really need some help, please - I'm looking for shops/outlets (online is fine) for Mother of the Groom outfits. I live in North Yorkshire so can get to York, Harrogate, etc and the wedding will be abroad in a warm but not hot location. I've tried looking online myself but haven't found anything I like!

If you can’t find anything online it’s unlikely you’ll find something in shops etc.Try

I'm a follower on Instagram of Snooty Frox in Harrogate. They have some lovely clothes. Take a look. They had a lovely set that were on sale this week and I remember thinking I wish I had an occasion to go to!

Take a look at them.

I agree with @IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle .

MoB and MoG outfits are often best avoided.

A beautiful dress that you love is the best bet.

They are a definite “look” but if that is what you are after my mother chose a dress and jacket from Ann Balon https://www.annbalon.com/collections/

That was pre pandemic and she found a boutique that stocked them to try on, I am not sure how many formal wear shops survived.

I would book in with the personal styling service in your nearest large John Lewis. It's free and they will suggest things you wouldn't think of. Also you just sit and drink coffee while they run around fetching sizes! I did this for an awards do when I had a young baby with me and it worked brilliantly. MIL has also been, no hard sell either time.
