Can't decide which to wear. Not feeling like any of them are perfect, but they're my only options.

Wedding isn't very formal.

Thoughts?

Second pair

Eyesopenwideawake · 23/05/2024 16:46

The first ones, with the wedge. Much, much better.

StillRunningWithScissors · 23/05/2024 16:50

😂 So 50/50 split so far

Yellow, the blue are slightly different to the dress not similar enough to match and not different enough to complement

StillRunningWithScissors · 23/05/2024 16:53

@MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira that was my thoughts with the colour

The wedges. If you are standing around on grass you're less likely to sink in. Given the amount of rain recently its a distinct possibility.

ThingsWillOnlyGetBetter · 23/05/2024 16:55

Blue. They look more coordinated. The yellow look like you only had one option and had to make do.

StrongandNorthern · 23/05/2024 17:05

Yes, it's the 'wrong' blue for the dress. Looks like you tried to match and missed. A bit frumpy too tbh.

HundredMilesAnHour · 23/05/2024 17:32

I dislike them both (sorry OP) but think the blue is the lesser of the two evils. They're not the same shade but I think they work better than the first pair.

Raera · 23/05/2024 17:48

can we see the style of the dress, not just the fabric please OP?

ManilowBarry · 23/05/2024 17:50

Second pair but can you revive them with some leather shoe dye as they look faded?

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 23/05/2024 17:52

Definitely the wedges based on colour but I also want to see the dress style.

whyamisotiredallthetime · 23/05/2024 18:11

Wedges !

StillRunningWithScissors · 23/05/2024 18:15

The dress (I'm not quite finished sewing it, so using an image from the pattern website)

Edited

This is exactly what I was going to say. Go for the yellow.

AndSoFinally · 23/05/2024 19:49

If it's knee length there should be enough space between the fabric and the shoe that the mismatch wouldn't be so obvious. The blue are better I think

Raera · 23/05/2024 19:58

Blue for me too

determinedtomakethiswork · 23/05/2024 20:30

I'd love to see a picture when it's finished. How long does it take to make a dress like that?

GerbilsForever24 · 23/05/2024 20:32

Definitely blue.

MaryFuckingFerguson · 23/05/2024 20:33

The second ones. The other ones are hideous.

SoapCollector · 23/05/2024 20:38

I like the first ones, the wedges. Depending on your personal style could the laces be replaced with ribbons or other coloured laces to complement the dress?

SoapCollector · 23/05/2024 20:40

P.s the dress is lovely, wish I had your sewing skills!

PlumPeony · 23/05/2024 20:41

Blue. The first pair doesn't look very nice sorry

nameohnameohname · 23/05/2024 20:42

I knew you were sewing - I have the same fabric and am trying to decide what to make!

Mamette · 23/05/2024 20:44

Why is everyone saying yellow? They look light tan to me. Am I seeing them wrong?

Anyway, I prefer the blue hasbeen type ones. The dress is knee length so it won’t be near the shoes and you won’t notice the difference in the blues too much.

I do not like the rubber wedge on the first ones, or the laces.
