Can't decide which to wear. Not feeling like any of them are perfect, but they're my only options.

Wedding isn't very formal.

Thoughts?

Blue. The yellow ones are too different tonally.

Cofaki · 23/05/2024 20:50

Blue, but I don't really think either with with that dress. But the tan ones are totally the wrong style for that dress and will look odd.

Amx · 23/05/2024 21:05

Have you any other options?

Darkmodelight · 23/05/2024 21:21

Blue. 100%.

StandardSize14 · 23/05/2024 21:31

The blue and @Amx she said in op no other options

5128gap · 23/05/2024 21:39

I'd buy a pair of silver or neutral ballet flats for £10-£15 from Amazon as either pair will spoil the dress. Which would be a shame after all your hard work.

StillRunningWithScissors · 23/05/2024 21:45

Technically I do have two other options

Silver converse (low cut) which would be comfy

Black shoes that are a patent kind of finish. Years old, but comfortable

The "yellow" ones are actually tan leather. Guessing they are showing yellow for some people

With the style of dress, I think the silver converse would be a good choice.

I'd love to see a picture when it's finished. How long does it take to make a dress like that?

I'll try to get a photo up.

It's doesn't usually take too long, but I've been knocked back by a killer cold this week, so rushing to finish the dress and sort shoes. I'd say a day and a half/two days max to make the dress. I stayed away from the stripe fabric, as it would be way too fiddly for me

I'd go with the silver cons if it's informal. I'm liking silver with the dress.

Thisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius · 23/05/2024 21:50

First pair - the tan ones; think they are lovely

def not the black ones

LucieLemon · 23/05/2024 21:54

I'd go for the silver converse first, tan wedges next choice

Ruthietuthie · 23/05/2024 22:01

Blue for me - it isn't the exact blue (which would be too matchy matchy anyway) but it is complimentary.

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 23/05/2024 22:08

The blue. It doesn't matter that it's not the same blue. The yellow ones are very ugly.

As Ruthietuthie said the 2 blues complement each other.

GiveYourHeadAWobble · 23/05/2024 22:58

Definitely the blue ones. I don’t think any of the other options would look right at all.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 24/05/2024 08:52

I’m thinking the silver converse might look quite cool with it depending on the formality of the wedding.

When you’ve finished the dress, can you take a photo of you wearing it with all the shoe options? I think that will give the best result of which suits it best.
