Sezane Chloe Blouse - Vote for the colour!

The most flattering to my complexion will be purple, bottle green or navy, though I have read in reviews that navy is duller in real life. Neither of the first two options are super versatile in terms of pairing with the bottoms, but I do expect to wear with jeans or black or navy trousers. But I love green and purple.

However, I have just watched Audrey Coyne style a white one in many ways and have been totally seduced by versatility. The concern with white is that it will be see through and may be a bit secretarial without jeans?

So, which one?

I'm voting for purple because I've just bought one in that colour and it's gorgeous.

I really loved the green, but I have a similar blouse in that shade already.

Floralnomad · 14/05/2024 22:49

The green , it’s always the green

PickAChew · 14/05/2024 22:56

The purple is lovely. Don't see enough of it.

Thinkpositivethoughts1 · 15/05/2024 05:13

I ordered the white one and had to return it because it was see through. I was wearing a nude coloured bra when I tried it on which is ok for every other white top I own. I could see the pattern of my bra, there was no way I’d wear it. It’s a shame because the top’s beautiful.
So my vote goes for green.

Thinkpositivethoughts1 · 15/05/2024 05:19

Have you considered the Olive green? I think the Bottle green is gorgeous for Winter but would find it a little dark to wear this time of year.
I’ve been waiting for Olive green to come back into stock for a while now; I don’t know how often it’s restocked.

Please can you link to the Audrey Coyne styling? Would love to see this.

@Thinkpositivethoughts1 Thank you, I can’t have that Olive, it will make me look sallow. But my daughter with blond hair and warm green eyes is considering it, it will look amazing on her.

Wow, I absolutely love the white - could be paired with white wid leg trousers like the video or navy flared jeans! Gorgeous! I think it’s very classic.

I am also a fan of the lace… would be great for summer with some shorts!

the bottle green is gorgeous, but more of a winter colour I’d say.

also love rosewood as it’s different and could be very flattering

Offredismysister · 15/05/2024 07:11

I think the green is more chic than the purple.
Also love the ecru/stripes & the white guipure.

StoatofDisarray · 15/05/2024 07:13

The deep green one.

ICanFixHim · 15/05/2024 07:14

I like the green for autumn/winter.
Love the stripes and the lace for summer.
The purple is a bit much for me but I admit I do avoid purple since I wore far too much when I was younger and I don't think it suits me.

Passmetheaero · 15/05/2024 07:27

Does anyone know what the sizing is like? I fancy getting one but worried it will gape across the chest.

LadyEloise1 · 15/05/2024 07:45

The white guipure lace one is so beautiful.
But see through, sadly for me.

MrsCarson · 15/05/2024 07:53

It depends on what colour suits you. I'd look awful in the green or ecru but rosewood would look nice on me.

TheChosenTwo · 15/05/2024 07:56

My colour choices of most things are the bottle green and navy!
I love them, might get one myself 😂

TulipsAndZombies · 15/05/2024 07:56

I’m a busty 12 and think it is true to size. If I ordered another I might be tempted to try the 12 and 14 to see what the oversized fit it like. But otherwise I think it is true to size.

I have the white one and just wear a vest under it. It’s beautiful.

I found it true to size. I’m a standard size 12 and the 12 was a perfect fit. The website says size up if you’re between sizes but I didn’t think it was in any way a small 12; it was quite roomy.
I was also worried about a possible gape but didnt think that was issue once on. It looked stunning; a really chic cut.
The only problem was that I’d ordered the ecru and it was see through. I’m waiting for Olive to be restocked.

CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment · 15/05/2024 08:20

Among the three Bottle green, definitely. They have the white in poplin which should be less transparent than the silk.

DreadPirateRobots · 15/05/2024 08:22

I have three of this shirt: olive silk, striped cotton, and gold hearts cotton. It's a gorgeous shirt, but the ease of washability of the striped cotton has made it my favourite, and the lace trim is beautiful.

I'd say they're true to size.

Babbete · 15/05/2024 08:49

I also like the striped one. I love how striped cotton ages and softens. Second is the Vintage Blue.

I always prefer darker, plain colours, but the lighter colours in this particular piece seem to look so much better.

TattiePants · 15/05/2024 08:53

I’d choose the green out of your options. I love purple but I don’t think it’s quite as versatile. However if I was choosing for myself I’d choose rosewood. I bookmarked a picture yesterday of someone wearing a different Sezane blouse in that colour paired with khaki trousers and it looked lovely.

alwaysonadiet1 · 15/05/2024 08:54

Purple

Starlight1979 · 15/05/2024 08:54

Love the bottle green and the white! Been trying to get my hands on the black one for months now but it's constantly sold out 😭

alwaysonadiet1 · 15/05/2024 08:54

What a gorgeous shop. I've now found lots of things I want!
