Sezane Chloe Blouse - Vote for the colour!

The most flattering to my complexion will be purple, bottle green or navy, though I have read in reviews that navy is duller in real life. Neither of the first two options are super versatile in terms of pairing with the bottoms, but I do expect to wear with jeans or black or navy trousers. But I love green and purple.

However, I have just watched Audrey Coyne style a white one in many ways and have been totally seduced by versatility. The concern with white is that it will be see through and may be a bit secretarial without jeans?

So, which one?

Green!

Starlight1979 · 15/05/2024 09:00

Without wanting to hijack the thread (but also taking the opportunity of having the attention of Sezane shoppers 😂), has anyone got / had the Brut Sexy jeans?? If so are they flattering (I'm size 10/12 - quite hippy, thighs and bum probably slightly larger than average!)? And are they true to size?

Karmatime · 15/05/2024 09:10

I’d choose the navy out of your selection, I like the blackish muted shade and would find it the most versatile- but if that’s not your thing then the bottle green rather than the purple.
I went purple crazy in the early 2000s and I think I’ve worn my lifetime’s worth!

BettyBardMacDonald · 15/05/2024 09:19

Rosewood would look great with jeans.

I vote for white with plans to wear some lingerie beneath it.

StatelyBouquet · 15/05/2024 09:23

I’d avoid purple as it would be lovely with jeans but not with black trousers

Rainbowshit · 15/05/2024 09:59

I've been coveting this blouse for a while.

Bottle green would be my vote.

Comefromaway · 15/05/2024 10:03

Bottle green (but I have so many clothes in that colour!)

Comefromaway · 15/05/2024 10:04

The Ecru lace one is beautiful though too

Theonlyoneiknow · 15/05/2024 10:30

I wish I hadn't clicked on this link, they are all beautiful! From your choices I would go for white or bottle green (and eyeing up the pin stripe for myself). Do Sezane ever do new customer codes? Their knitwear and jewellery is also gorgeous!

I have the silk Chloe blouse in green and it's lovely. Now this thread just made me buy one in 100% organic cotton too!

Sezane never do sales or discount codes, BTW. My tip is to check carefully the fabric - I only buy their clothes in natural materials; wool, cotton, silk. The man-made materials, poly, viscose etc, feel slightly less good value and I've returned them. Check carefully as different colours can come in different fabrics.

DreadPirateRobots · 15/05/2024 12:24

There's typically a good amount of Sezane stuff on Vinted - it holds its value well if in good condition.

I do have my eye on the Chloe in ecru guipire lace. My "work uniform" is a good silk/cotton shirt, jeans, and my platform Converse and I usually wear a cotton camisole under shirts anyway, especially silk ones, to reduce the need to wash them.

UneTasse · 15/05/2024 12:29

I have the white and yes, you definitely have to wear a pretty bra with it because everyone is going to see it! But I was more annoyed about how quickly the armpits stained. With that in mind I’d get navy or green.

I have a leopard Equipment blouse and it’s a DREAM. So versatile and flattering. Obv not the same thing at ALL but I just mean I wouldn’t be buying a white/cream silk blouse again.

FlindersKeepers · 15/05/2024 12:31

I have 4 of these: navy, navy maxi flowers, blue/ecru flowers, black guipure lace.
The navy is a quiet navy, almost dusty, it is also very dark, but is silk.
The black guipure is great for going out at night with a black bra underneath, because of the holes it can be quite warm on.
Blue/ecru and navy maxi flowers are a cotton/silk mix.

I am not sure I am helping here (but would get vintage blue next myself).

Fraaahnces · 15/05/2024 12:36

Bottle green or guipure lace. I’m not keen on the rest.

endofthecorridoor · 15/05/2024 12:46

Ive got the white one its lovely. i have a navy silk shirt which has faded naturally so would bear that in mind. Ive never had a top complimented so much

WildCherryBlossom · 15/05/2024 12:47

Watchthedoormat · 15/05/2024 12:51

Not codes but every now and then there's a free gift with order, usually something like a tote or toiletry bag.

coxesorangepippin · 15/05/2024 13:29

Green giupre for me

BusyFinch · 15/05/2024 13:33

If you have Facebook the Sezane IRL group has lots of feedback and photos from people wearing items and I’m sure the Brut Sexy will be on there

Snowontheholly · 15/05/2024 14:49

I have it in the olive, bottle green and purpley pink colour.
I love the blouse but too scared to wear them in case they stain!

TheCultureHusks · 15/05/2024 16:37

Green of your choices but have to say it’s the lighter colours that seem to really work - love the rosewood and the vintage blue.

Workawayxx · 15/05/2024 20:07

I love this 😍. The bottle green is beautiful but I have a top in that colour and I just can’t make it work with blue denim, I just don’t like the colours together. Tried with a variety of denim shades and just not keen 😔. On that basis I chose white but the purple is also stunning.

Candleabra · 15/05/2024 20:10

I love the green and purple.

Is Sezanne clothing good quality? I’m trying to find somewhere to shop that isn’t poorly made hopeless smocks
