Yellow wedding guest dress

I have a wedding in August. For some reason I have it in my head that I'd like to wear yellow. Has anyone seen some nice yellow dresses suitable for a wedding?

I mean proper bright yellow not lemon and preferably plain rather than patterned. I've seen one or two I like but they have long sleeves so I think they'd be too hot for August. I'm 36, a size 6-8 and 5'6.

So this was one I liked but without the sleeve and now they no longer have it in the yellow.

Right colour but not really my style.

I love lavish Alice dresses but the yellow ones are all really pale yellow. The only one that was the right shade of yellow I would probably be flashing my pants in all day haha!

It seems to be quite hard to find dresses in bright yellow. I guess it's not really a colour many people go for. But now annoying I have it in my head that I want a bright yellow dress!

Amazon has that dress without the sleeve however it's shipped from the US so you may have to pay in dollars or pay customs fees, I'm unsure

I went to a yellow and navy wedding in the 80s!

If you're a pale skinned woman I don't think it will look right but if you have darker skin or a tan the yellow will look great.

I'll have a tan. Hopefully real but if not fake.

Yellow is my favourite colour and I just think it would be lovely for a sunny August wedding. Fingers crossed it is sunny as it's in Scotland so could well be grey and rainy haha!

I’m probably out of date but are you not supposed to have covered shoulders at a wedding?

It might just be me but I have found that if I wear yellow in the summer it attracts all the flies and bugs (maybe they think it’s pollen) and so I am forever flicking them off.

If it's a religious ceremony, but the OP can easily add a layer for that, if need be.

I think some of the suggestions, though very nice, are a bit 'evening' if it's a daytime wedding, but I haven't seen anything that couldn't be worn in a church with a jacket/wrap.
