I have found an old Prada bag charm that I will be digging out as well as whatever key rings or charms I can find. It’s a bit of fun.

Some of these, if you have original designer ones from back in the day are really valuable.
I bought some boxes from a house clearance, one of which was filled with these. There were a few Chanel ones (little fruits) that sold for loads.

Bag charms? My kid used to hang cute keychains off her school bag...
I'm amazed people still use bags! I have a small cross body when I have to carry more than my phone (which holds my cards and a bit of cash which has probably been in it since last year) and keys.
I can't be doing with these 'trends'. But then no one would call me fashionable.

The Loewe felt animals are cute, but at £350 it's just a cash grab and so overpriced. And as others have said, I'm not 12.

You're amazed people still use bags? Really? To can't imagine that people might have to carry more than you do, eg an umbrella, medication, a laptop, a hairbrush? Any of those or many other items.

Or maybe that people just like handbags. I certainly do. Men are using them now too.

I sometimes make them for my bags. Largely because I have lots of craft supplies and it's a more fulfilling use my time than scrolling endlessly on Instagram. Wouldn't pay money for one though - better uses for my cash.

I had a handbag 'charm' hanging around for god knows how long that I'd removed from a previous bag I'd got rid of. On Friday I decided to attach it to a very plain, navy blue, Osprey bag. Today I see in 'Style' magazine that these so-called handbag charms are back in fashion. I didn't know they'd ever been a thing, I was just wanting to jolly up my bag. So now I'm thinking, do I need to remove it from that bag 😐? I also have a Birkin look-alike that a couple of years ago I twirled an unworn necklace around a strap (loved the necklace but never wore it) - do I need to remove that as well in case I'm perceived to be following a trend?

If you like it do it, if you don't- don't.

Jesus why are all the replies so boring 🤣 trends always come in and out, you’ll like some and not others. I agree they’re a bit of fun, especially if you can find one that’s really ‘you’ e.g. a cute Coke can if you always drink it, a high heel shoe.

I don’t have any atm but got an all black Longchamp recently so was considering decorating it a bit with something colourful. Going to look through the Selfridges link shared on page 1 and see if I can find anything I like!

I wasn't remotely interested in having a handbag charm, but I'm almost persuaded by posts on here, to attach one just out of contrariness. I've got 3 Hèrmes Twillys I haven't worn in ages.

I never took mine off 😂 It's a fluffy tan pom pom thing.

I’ve just stuck a tiny custom version of my dog on my tote from https://snapfigures.com/collections/personalized-figure-keychains and it makes me weirdly happy every time I see it. Not everyone’s thing, but I love the mix of silly and personal.

I may have asked Santa for a jelly cat one for Christmas

@Gettingonmygoat Anya Hindmarch is known for brand based accessories.

Primarily because Anya sold control (75%) to a Qatar investment fund back in 2011 so they were knocking out expensive rubbish based on a limited selection of her earlier designs (the ones were very ‘brand in your face’ rather than the quiet luxury ones). In recent years, the Qataris sold on most of their share to an Iranian entrepreneur and now has joint control with Anya who has been able to buy back part of the business. If she’s fully back in control (or even partially) hopefully things will improve and there’ll be a return to actual design creativity and/or quality rather than selling overpriced tat.

I was a huge fan of the brand in the old days and really hope there’s a return to form.
