If I have a fit bod like Madge when I get to 50 I shall be blardy proud of myself and will not give a fly fluck what others fink I look like. To work at keeping a body in shape takes some doing, that doesn't mean though it is obsessive or wrong in some way to keep fit.

Walnutshell · 31/03/2008 22:10

"I suppose none of you have problems with anoxeric fashion models either then?"

that was not the angle you appeared to be coming form, but good diversion. Irrelevant, but good.

southeastastra · 31/03/2008 22:10

calm down, people are getting wound up about it. you loonies.

madonna has a natural shape, it's probably only the last 100 years or so that women didn't have to look like that

morningpaper · 31/03/2008 22:10

right then please show me a photo of a 50 year old woman that you WOULD approve of as a Role Model so we have a proper Scale

Walnutshell · 31/03/2008 22:12

yes, a nice non-freaky one (as defined by yourself kerrymum)

perhaps she will be in tweed

oh i do hope so

Heathcliffscathy · 31/03/2008 22:12

kerry i am aghast i really am. YOU saying another woman is a freak? what are you doing? why are you doing it?

she looks fucking strong to me.

JodieG1 · 31/03/2008 22:13

Most runners don't have body fat either, I don't see lots of threads about those people.

Is it just the ones that are more famous that get slated then? Maybe it's just jealousy.

Honestly if she wants to look like that then who are we to judge? If a MNetter posted a pic of herself like that would we be all so quick to jump on her?

policywonkBAHons · 31/03/2008 22:13

MP, what's with the 'yah' thing?

Also, could I please draw your attention to something for Roundup purposes: DaDaDa's posts of 22.22 and 23.23 (well, would you look at that) from this thread.

Ta.

Heathcliffscathy · 31/03/2008 22:13

morningpaper · 31/03/2008 22:14

OI sophable was that me at the Christmas Meetup?

MsDrMonkeybird · 31/03/2008 22:14

soph where DID you get that photo of me from?

JodieG1 · 31/03/2008 22:14

Oh so women in the public eye have to be fat then?

Heathcliffscathy · 31/03/2008 22:15

kerry modern day obesity is not 'natural'

'natural' women, used to work in the fields. they had biceps.

MsDrMonkeybird · 31/03/2008 22:15

damn you MP with your quick typing

southeastastra · 31/03/2008 22:15

yuck big fattie, i'd rather be toned like madonna. she's inspired me to get more fit actually tonight.

AnotherFineMess · 31/03/2008 22:15

Thread explodes. Head explodes. House even messier.

Policywonk - BA Hons? Is this a new thing? Congrats if so!

Heathcliffscathy · 31/03/2008 22:16

mp you are neat and trim and you know it.

i'm totally at a loss about why a woman with muscley arms is a 'freak'

oooo the sisterhood is doing well innit.

blardy hell

Walnutshell · 31/03/2008 22:16
