southeastastra · 31/03/2008 20:55

yes girl power

Maidamess · 31/03/2008 20:55

Please don't argue on my lighthearted thread about Madge's man arms

OP posts:
Walnutshell · 31/03/2008 20:57

sorry maidamess, on one hand all due respect to being lighthearted, on the other, it's such a tired issue to bitch about how we look - but anyhoo

morningpaper · 31/03/2008 20:57

Yes it is very useful

She will be able to undo all her own jam-jars without having to ask for assistance

Who can't respect a woman like that?

Maidamess · 31/03/2008 20:58

We're not bitching about how we look, we're bitching about how Madonna looks

Walnutshell · 31/03/2008 21:02

we as in females generally, but I don't know if you're being light so I'll leave you to it.

Maidamess · 31/03/2008 21:04

I am being very light! Just wanted a bit of a gossipy chat , if thats not your bag, thats fine

EVERY SINGLE thread I've read tonight, and last night, and the night before that, ad infinitum, has turned into a ruck!

I never thought I would turn off MN to go and do some housework but d'ya know what, I'm getting close...

southeastastra · 31/03/2008 21:06

i don't think this thread has turned into a ruck at all

Maidamess · 31/03/2008 21:07

I wouldn't class this as a ruck...at least I don't think it is! Just people misinterpreting tones of threads. I don't do contentious, at least not wittingly!

OP posts:
Walnutshell · 31/03/2008 21:12

oops, am back

no ruck from me if that's where the comment is aimed, sent previous post because I didn't want to 'spoil' a daft thread

AnotherFineMess · 31/03/2008 21:12

Like you say, it must be the misinterpreting the tones thing, mine was meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

But I am in a funny mood tonight so I'm probably better going off to do some housework...it might make my arms a bit more like Madonna's than typing does too...

Maidamess · 31/03/2008 21:13

Yes, that and 3000 press ups

OP posts:
AnotherFineMess · 31/03/2008 21:15

And 8 000 000 pull-ups...

Walnutshell · 31/03/2008 21:15

now we're all being simperingly polite! i like it, it makes a change!

Maidamess · 31/03/2008 21:15

And a wheat free, dairy free, taste free, macro biotic diet.....what a fun life she must have!

OP posts:
ivykaty44 · 31/03/2008 21:15

I would like arms like Madge's

Walnutshell · 31/03/2008 21:16

haven't got time for pull-ups, am too busy bitching on MN

Walnutshell · 31/03/2008 21:16

daily mail really is an evil rag

southeastastra · 31/03/2008 21:17

i do find housework quite good for toning the arms. and lawn mowering

Maidamess · 31/03/2008 21:17

Anne will probably get hers nipped and tucked like she did with the old face.

OP posts:
southeastastra · 31/03/2008 21:18

that's the choice though isn't it. flabby or arnie

Maidamess · 31/03/2008 21:19

Yes, they don't sell 'control sleeves' in the same vein as control pants, do they?

Unless you want to swathed in flesh coloured bandages.

OP posts:
AnotherFineMess · 31/03/2008 21:20

You'd think pushing 45kg of child-and-double-buggy weight around might give you Madonna Arms, but oh no no. Mind you, bet Madonna doesn't sit around being housework avoidant with a bag of mini eggs and a can of cider.

Do you think she's on MN though???
