Discontinued perfumes

My two favourite perfumes have been discontinued and I'm so sad!! Does anyone know ones that would be similar to either of them?

1. Lancôme Poeme - my favourite of all time, been wearing it since I was a teen 😭
2. Michael Kors Glam Jasmine

Any advice appreciated!

Chloe Intense. From 2009 and discontinued probably 2015 or something. I still have a bottle and use it sparingly. It has notes of rose and pepper but wasn’t sweet at all. No other rose perfumes ever come close to it.

Jolie Madame - Balmain
Casmir - Chopard

Both bought for me years ago by my parents. So wish I could smell them again.

Monsoon ‘om’ and Vivienne Westwood ‘Libertine’ - still sad about them both!

This thread has made me seriously tempted to buy the unopened 100ml bottle of Sicily available on Vinted for a mere £175 .

I'm trying to convince myself that my Dolce & Gabbana Devotion is not dissimilar but it's not working and The Perfume Shop dupe is sold out so I can't try that.

I'm really confused because they announced a re release of sicily and it was on the harrows website with a new bottle design, and then nothing

It’s not just discontinuing.

Another practice is reformulate a perfume, until it bears only a vague resemblance to the original.

I think they did re release it a few years ago but it was as a premium fragrance so £250 per bottle rather than the mid range it was before. I wonder if it was an expensive fragrance to source.

I've also read that it wasn't quite the same as the original.
I still have about half a bottle that I bought a few years ago from Ebay before prices got ridiculous, so I can do the comparison if I get my hands on anything.

Traversee du Bosphore. I am forever salty about that one.

Inspire by M&S I loved this perfume and my last bottle was brought by my mum not long before she died, so I haven't been able to use it.

I might be able to help with this! MK MK was my favourite too - I have found the Sol De Janeiro Rio to be similar, very heavy on the tuberose.

It's also a steal compared to most perfumes, and the closer I've found in years to Mk.

Lots of reasons but cost and regulations mostly. There was a recent ban on using oak moss, and other allergens.

Another Gucci one - Gucci Premiere! Was my absolute favourite and can't find anything similar!

OP, Mugler's Aliens might have a similar nuance to Glam Jasmine, both having a woody jasmine accord (though I have never come across MK's GJ). Maison Violet does a very beautiful Jasmine perfume called Compliment, that is my own favourite.
Estée Lauder's Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia has a similar accord to Lancome's Poeme so you might like it.

Don't have a favourite now, just whatever folk buy me for Xmas, kind of lost interest with favourite perfumes as the cost has become ridiculous of recent years but....

I have like half of the big bottle of lily and I can't seem to finish it! It's currently my "I really need to shower and I've been cooking and cleaning but I don't have time because I need to pick up the kids" scent 😂

Alien Extraordinaire, always loved it but it was expensive. As soon as I was able to afford a bottle they discontinued it. 😥
