it is terrible and i am not exagerating.

it is like 2 totally diffrent hirstyles and not in a good way, i had it done yesterday and dd2 was a nightmare in the shop so i left without getting it dried and it looked ok wet, i just left it to do its own thing as i was not going out again.

this morning i have washed and tried to style it and it looks terrible, i look really stupid.

it was supposed to resemble this sort of cut but it has gone so wrong.

the back is cut straight across and looks really frumpy she has made no effort to try and blend it all in and the two front sections are hanging like spaniels ears, she has taken so much of the front that the back is actually slightly longer

aaarrrggghhhh i have to go out soon.

oh dear!is it really that bad or do you think your in new haircut shock?id phone saying your not happy

nailpolish · 26/03/2008 12:57

you really should go back to salon and tell them how you feel. dont be critical or tell them you think they did it 'wrong' etc

just cry and tell them you dont like it, you thought you would byt you dont - please please can they help you to make it into a style you will like

nailpolish · 26/03/2008 12:59

tbh, i think it is one of those styles that looks effortless but is actually quite high maintenance and a lot of work in morning - my friend has same haircut and she says it looks shit unless she spends ages styling it.

i have even seen pics of victoria beckham with what id describe as 'spaniels ears' on either side of her head

GOOD LUCK

kerryk · 26/03/2008 12:59

i really cant afford to go any shorter though i would look like a boy, plus i really dont think i trust her near me again

if i had a lead for my camera i would upload pictures.

i have taken a load with the digi cam from diffrent angles and had dd1 taking them from the back and its just terrible.

You need a very speficic hair type for that hair cut - it looks great on my sister in law who has very thick, straight, shiney hair but it would never suit me.

Kerryk - I think you should go back to the hairdressers, cry, and get their sympathy and a new haircut.

kerryk · 26/03/2008 13:01

she has actually taken the top layer so short that it is sticking straight up. it must only be about a inch long, i have had to plaster it down with hairspray.

BITE the bullet and go to a different salon. yes it will be shorter but only for a wee while

i had a shit haircut once - and i went to a different salon to get it fixed

nailpolish · 26/03/2008 13:02

kerryk · 26/03/2008 13:03

Can we recommend a hairdresser to go to, who can turn it into a deliberate fashion statement rather than mistake?

Oliveoil · 26/03/2008 13:04

It
Will
Grow

I had my hair all lopped off last year, about 7 inches, loved it for about half an hour, then went out and saw lots of people with swishhy ponytails and hated it

then loved it again

you just need to get used it, I am sure it is not that bad

practice styling it

nailpolish · 26/03/2008 13:05

look at this

she has it shorter round the sides in this picture - do you like that? means no spaniels ears

kerryk · 26/03/2008 13:05

i am in edinburgh so fire away with suggestions.

its not a hairdressers with scissors i need though, its a magician with a magic wand.

i do motherfunk.

i have severe issues most of the time with the way i look, thats why i feel even worse now because i really dont think this is me being paraniod i think its really that bad.

i love that picture you linked nailpolish but i dont think i have enough hair left to try and do anything with it.

the front does not look to bad if i look straight into the mirror its when i turn to the side that you see how bad it is.
