Has anyone bought shoes from Wolky or Vivaia?

Have mild bunions, quite wide flat feet and am fed up with being uncomfortable so looking for wide fit decent shoes, specially boots. Have found a pair from Calla which are nice but looking around as they are not cheap so want to be sure I’m getting the best. didn’t like any of the Sargasso and Grey styles.
anyone has experience with Wolky shoes?

Also, keep seeing these Vivaia ads on MN - anyone bought their flats? They look like nice summer flats

Following to see reviews on Vivaia - they look so pretty - I don't like buying shoes online but can't find anything I like in the shops - looking for comfort and style

Mytholmroyd · 03/03/2024 10:22

I have a few pairs from Vivaia - flats and low heels. They are comfortable and wash well. I have ballerina flats with pointed toes and a pair of loafers which I wear all the time. The last pair of flat rounded toes I bought were much too small though. My daughter also has some for working as a waitress and finds them very comfortable and we have had no problem exchanging them when I ordered the wrong size.

The low heeled sligbacks were not as successful as I have trouble with the heel strap falling down!

Following with interest. I love the look of the pointy flats but have only ever seen them in adverts online, not in real life.

Changeusernameseeusernamehistory · 03/03/2024 10:32

Ahh I think Vivaia are not wide fit, though

Vivaia are very good for fit if you have bunions + wide feet. They are comfortable and do not restrict or crush your feet.

However, I would wear them only for dressy occasions; no arch support or cushioning, so long term wear will exacerbate your bunion.

Calla and Sargasso and Grey come up very big and the proffered arch support is underwhelming. I feel that arch support is good for bunions, as the load bearing is shifted from your toe, (which can no longer support your weight effectively) and transferred to somewhere more robust.

For everyday walking, I'd suggest something with a wide toe-box, like Hi Tec, couple with a cheap arch support insole. Bliss.

I have wide spade like feet - they are fairly malleable and soft

bosstick · 03/03/2024 11:38

Re: Vivaia

Where are they shipped from and what is the return / exchange like?

GailTheSnail · 03/03/2024 11:40

Ive got wide feet and find my vivaia super comfy. I bought two pairs and sent back one and it was all quite easy

no arch support or cushioning
Not the case for ones I have:

Also my daughter who has 'difficult' feet finds them comfortable for full waitressing/bar work.

I have worn them for days sightseeing in hot countries and found them good and no blisters

Wow! I had no idea that they did that style too.

Those ones look brilliant. I'm going to get a pair! Just what I needed, thanks

Mytholmroyd · 03/03/2024 12:04

Yes! I think they have been getting better with the support and cushioning as they have developed!

Mytholmroyd · 03/03/2024 12:05

Although I did find this style small and had to go up a size - maybe due to my wide feet!

Mytholmroyd · 03/03/2024 12:06

To return, I had to email them to get a return code/label. All worked fine.

Changeusernameseeusernamehistory · 03/03/2024 13:56

Thanks so much everyone! Will get some Vivaia. I think they’re american.

feet are particularly painful today because I did 15k steps in ill fitting boots yesterday walking around museums!!

Thank you for the thread I’ll be buying some too, been eyeing them for a while

Curious about the one(s) you are going to choose

Mytholmroyd · 03/03/2024 16:01

Yes am fairly sure it was - they go back to an address in Cannock - see attached screenshot

No I haven't

ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea · 03/03/2024 16:16

Very useful thread - I've seen the Vivaia advert and was wondering . I normally wear boots/trainers/sandals and struggle finding comfy shoes. I think I might give the ones @Mytholmroyd has linked a go.

Changeusernameseeusernamehistory · 03/03/2024 16:58

Thanks everyone- will get a pair of Vivaia @Mytholmroyd linked, for summer. Will also get an appointment with a podiatrist as saw the thread below when looking on MN for more info on what others found useful for bunions/flat feet/painful feet. Am thinking the pain I experience regularly (today is a particularly bad day) isn’t just a shoe problem.

@Mytholmroyd I'm constantly on the search for comfy shoes suitable for restaurant work. All the young ones wear crocs but I'm not willing to go there when I'm customer facing! I'll take your daughter's recommendation and give them a go.

Mytholmroyd · 03/03/2024 18:23

Yes she loves them - plus they are easy to wash and refresh! She has the pointed toe ballet flats.

user1471519902 · 03/03/2024 19:23

I do hope everyone buying these to try will come back and update the thread with their reviews. The Claire Walker ones look lovely. And the washability is amazing.

CinnamonJellyBeans · 03/03/2024 19:56

While we're talking bunions, I hope it's OK for me to point out that Flip flops exacerbate bunions. I had no idea and lived in the damned things.
