What do you wear under foundation for a dewy finish?

Hi all,

The title says it all really! I was watching a video yesterday and the lady applying had a beautiful glow to her skin before even putting on the foundation and it looked lovely. What can I do to achieve the glow? I don't use anything under my make up at present and any primers I've tried have done nothing. Any ideas please 😊

Elf Halo Glow does this. It's a massive bottle and you only need a drop. You can mix it in with foundation or apply before.
It's about a tenner.

I mix a liquid highlighter with my foundation, then set with a dewy setting spray.

After I've cleansed, put serums on and my lotion then I add a layer of elizabeth arden 8 hr cream. It's the vaseline like stufff that's in the tub rather than the tube. I put foundation on over this and then check in on it about an hour later with a make up sponge to tidy up any overly "dewy" spots!

NYX dewy finishing spray over the top of foundation, gives it a lovely light dewy finish and holds it in place longer

Another vote for Becca Backlight . Elemis superfood glow moisturising primer I like too.

How do people apply their setting spray? I find if I just spray myself in the face lol it makes my make up damp and dry patchy

I use a facial oil instead of moisturer. I then apply a light foundation and achieve a glowy finish.

Glossier Futuredew is amazing for this.

Serum, then a fairly basic moisturiser, then foundation.

Pai drops are good, can’t think of the official name! I use the lightest shade, might be Champagne.

CT Flawless Filter is excellent but I hate the wand applicator.

Well I never. I had no idea it had been discontinued/gone under. I have two in my stash so will use sparingly!

@ThinkingAgainAndAgain sad huh. They did some beautiful products. Smashbox rehashed them for a bit but I'm not sure if they dropped it in there. And I think smashbox withdrew from the uk market anyway ☹️
