Can I wear This to a wedding in April? It's at a house with fancy gardens.

Its a lovely dress, no idea why they've styled it with those horrible black boots!

I know! When you go to "complete the look" it recommends some ivory strappy sandals!

Yes you could. Where in the country is the wedding? In the south we've had heavy snow in April, but also hot, sunny days. If the dress gets hot, you could roll the sleeves up. Note that its rather long, so depending on your height, you might need high heels or to take it up so it doesn't swamp you.

sprigatito · 10/02/2024 18:26

Definitely, it's gorgeous.

CinnamonJellyBeans · 10/02/2024 19:55

Lovely dress, Perfect for a wedding. Pink suede shoes.

PS: You may need a good deodorant with this fabric.

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 10/02/2024 20:50

Yes, why did you think it might not be?

I like the boots. Not for a wedding but I' more likely wear it with boots than strappy ivory sandals.

TheSilentSister · 10/02/2024 20:55

Lovely dress OP. Perfect for a wedding, with sandals.

MissRheingold · 10/02/2024 21:28

I like the dress but don't fold your arms like the model in the photo as she looks like she is waiting for a bus not modelling a pretty dress.

CuteCillian · 10/02/2024 22:14

Perfect

JustJessi · 10/02/2024 22:15

Oooh yes love it! I would worry about being sweaty in it too, as PP said

NutcrackerSweety · 10/02/2024 22:29

Definitely armpit shields needed, but it’s lovely

Lighteningstrikes · 11/02/2024 09:09

Beautiful dress and love those fuchsia shoes too.

Maybe I’m lucky, but amazed at how many people are saying you’ll need extra underarm protection, because I wouldn’t. Maybe you’re the same as me.

DillDanding · 11/02/2024 09:29

£175 for 109% polyester? Crazy. It’s a nice dress, but I couldn’t wear it as polyester makes me sweat.

Yeah maybe people sweat more

I thought it might be a bit green as a lot of people might go for springy pastels?

Cute dress - perfectly suitable for a Spring wedding.

Vile fabric. It would be so lovely in silk, though obviously much more expensive.

RuthW · 11/02/2024 09:35

Yes. It will look lovely with a fascinator and buttonhole

OhVienna24 · 11/02/2024 09:35

Yes lovely. Wouldn’t have thought about the sweat myself.

EndlesslyDistracted · 11/02/2024 09:38

Yes, its lovely. No problems with polyester here, it never makes me sweaty but I agree with sandals not black boots.

KreedKafer · 11/02/2024 11:07

Yes, perfectly wedding appropriate.

Mosaic123 · 11/02/2024 15:41

It's so lovely. I think it's good all year round. Pink suede shoes would be perfect.

petermaddog · 13/02/2024 00:43

too much for polyester

TheChosenTwo · 13/02/2024 00:47

Gorgeous dress, I think it would be perfect for a spring wedding.

Ruthietuthie · 13/02/2024 15:47

It's a beautiful dress and perfect for a wedding.
People are commenting on the need for arm-pit shields etc., as, despite being 175 pounds, it is 100% polyester. I agree that this would be amazing made of silk. Even viscose, while far from ideal and still a semi-synthetic, would have been far better than polyester.
