Quick poll, I'm going out tonight, do I go for elegance and style or warmth and dryness?

Given that it's freezing and pissing it down.

I want to wear my waterproof ski jacket, but part of me thinks I should wear my smart coat and risk looking like a drowned rat by the end of the evening.

Which one should I wear? I'm not taking an umbrella.

I thought the whole point of the condombrolly was that you would then wear your elegant grown-up coat!
