If I wear tall I'd rock it in a heartbeat. I'm short and it would drag on the ground.
I'd buy it.
It' stands out, and I love deepest blue. A midnight blue really.
What color is your hair?

I think it is fantastic, but I am not tall enough to wear a coat like that.

I love COS but find that their coats just swamp me. I'm 5'2 and size 8 so have never managed to buy one of their oversized coats despite liking the look.
That particular coat has a bit too much going on for me.

It looks like a pin-stripe dressing gown with a matching scarf. Although it's not cheap, it'd have to be four times the price to have a chance of looking good in spite of being a pin-stripe dressing gown.

It looks lovely, but as with lots of Cos stuff, you have to be 1. Tall and 2. Slim. I'd look ridiculous at 5'4" and a size 14.

I think it’s spectacular (don’t own so this is on aesthetics alone). But I thought the rainsisters coat up thread was awful so we may have different tastes as I think you liked that?

Cos have an Aline Greige coat at the moment which I really really like. However I cannot justify another coat at the mo. There were also some nice ones in the Toast sale.

The coat arrived and it is nice but the style does not suit me. I’m 5’5 between size 8-10. Ordered XS and that it was a good fit but the style is overwhelming.
Agree that only suit very tall women but not necessarily slim imho

Moved on to an AllSaints coat which is very minimalist and ‘clean’ - I have a thread about it here.

I prefer this one to the All Saints one but they are both lovely. I just bought the COS dress that is very similar to the coat. I find the sizing frustrating. A S is too big but an XS will likely be too tight on top.

I appreciate the follow up. I thought you'd get lost in it unless you were a big woman.

Scarf coats are in right now. I like the shape, but don't like the pinstipes - not versatile enough

holy shit that's divine. I totally want one but won't as I already own multiple things that give that vibe. You've got to love being a Cape Type Woman though. Do you like stalking into a room preferably with audible shoes and have your clothes follow you 3 seconds later? Do you pontificate like a champ? Do you give Tilda/Blanchett vibes? Match made in heaven. If you aren't any of those things and you love it, though, then it could also be for you because you love it. I'd say you'd have to try on though either way. I love all my shit from cos but you've 100% got to try on first as it's all either great or odd. The silvery nature of the pinstripe would have to be seen in person. Could be perfect, could be late 90s Portmans.

While I like it, you would need to be statuesque to carry it off, and I am not certain that it wouldn’t look dated very quickly. Is the scarf bit removable? That might make it more versatile and last longer.

Gorgeous coat. Personally I know I'd find it a faff to wear and all the extra layers would annoy me but it's a beautiful coat and I'd admire it a lot on someone else.

I like it. But as I am 5 ft 1 and 13 stone I'd look like a fat sheep. If you are (much) taller I would certainly admire it on you.
