Oh loved this last year. Now my changing bag as I've gone from four to one in nappies.

Ordered a large one yesterday, got a recycled canvas Bantry B medium in what I assume to be plum, or maybe sienna (both colours are very much alike on their website). Not mad about the colour, but waaaayyyyy better than the small Canfield B from last year… That said, would gladly swap for any medium/large on the gray scale! 😁

@MinstrelGirl Pretty please! I just can’t with the small ones, I’m 6’ tall they hurt my back as the Canfield B proved. I used twice and never again :(

I'm very tempted to risk a large lucky dip. Do the medium backpacks fit a standard laptop?

I got a medium Bantry B last year and it fits my HP laptop

Seems like more of a mix coming out this year (which is good IMO) - last year it seemed to be batches of the same kind.

Has anyone who ordered with the free delivery code yesterday had a shipping notification? Ordered around 2pm yesterday and was hoping it would ship today but nothing yet.

Caved in and went large. Will definitely return here to swap if it’s not anything I like. Hoping for autumn colours.

I've placed 3 orders 😱😂. The first one yesterday with a new customer code and the second one also yesterday with the free delivery code but I forgot to change it to next day. Then this morning I placed a third order (I'm officially obsessed) with the free delivery code and selected next day. I haven't had a dispatch code for any of them yet.

Mine arrived today - very disappointed with size. Not a large bag according to the Bantry measurements in the website - it’s a small! Ive emailed them but not holding out much hope. Wish I hadn’t bothered.

Is there somewhere to select size? I can only see the one lucky dip backpack listing. Id prefer a small or medium but I think I'll take a punt anyway.

Wow how many people didn’t read the description..? Nowhere does it say on the large you get a large rucksack, it just says rucksack… medium is cross body bags etc not medium rucksacks…

I got a large pink Finchley last year so have opted for a small and medium surprise - Hoping for a purse for the small.

My medium has just arrived. I am now the owner of a black and white gingham Kennington B. I didn't particularly want a patterned bag, but it's actually very nice :)

I ordered one of each size, got a Canfield small in dark blue, a bond in teal (perfect for gigs) and a Hatfield bucket hat which I'm actually delighted with as it fits perfect (I have a big head)

I think it’s very misleading in terms of the size of lucky dip not correlating to the size of the bag you receive. Perhaps that was deliberate- I wouldn’t have ordered anything if I had realised.

@Tomblyboo I will be up for selling this one unless Roka replace it with a
large bag.

Well I assumed from the photo of a backpack and the “large” description of the lucky dip that I was buying a large backpack.

Admittedly the wording when you click through doesn’t back that up, but I would say that the use of the pic and the “large” description - which is a sizing guide they use themselves to differentiate between the backpack sizes - means it’s a bit ambiguous.

i ordered at 1pm yesterday and haven’t heard anything. I emailed around 4pm yesterday to ask if it was possible to switch to next day delivery as I’m away on Friday.

I then emailed this morning asking if it is possible to cancel my order because I didn’t want to gamble on a backpack which may not be the size I was expecting.

i haven’t had a dispatch note or a response to any of my emails, so we will see what happens.

Yes that's as may be but you'd expect either a small, medium or large bag as those are the sized bags they sell on their website

If Roka is reading this thread (I'm guessing they will be as they mention mumsnet threads for swapping on their website) - perhaps you could update the descriptions of the sizes to make them more clear?

I do think I would expect a large bag from the large lucky dip or at least a medium - not a small. The photograph on the medium lucky dip looks like a rucksack to me also rather than a crossbody (although it may only have one strap you wouldn't necessarily know that unless you know their designs very well). Also the medium dip mentions rucksacks as well as crossbody bags in the description.

I think they've tried to avoid confusion by calling the lucky dips tiny, midi and large rather than small medium and large but obviously it didn't work well enough! Maybe more pics of possible content on the large listing would help.

I really like their bags - one of the small crossbody ones is my current everyday bag. I did the last lucky dip and ended up with a big lilac bakpack (can't remember which sort) - I really didn't like the colour, but my daughter loves it and has used it a lot so it worked out to be value for money.

I've ordered one of each lucky dip. I was looking for a place to add a note for a cheeky colour preference request but couldn't see a space to add it so I emailed them obviously knowing there is no guarantee.

I'd be really happy if I received the selection the poster upthread posted - the snakeskin backpack and the small grey bag.
