@Beanbunnalapoo mine was also picked by James and James, it came today after ordering on Boxing Day but they first attempted to deliver on the 30th (work address, closed till today).

It had the actual picker's name in the tracking info

James and James are a logistics company, not the Roka staff involved with the bay selection.

My final roka has arrived - a large nylon Canfield in cranberry which is an almost True but slightly blue red. Love it!

I come to the thread a bit deflated today. I don't have my package yet, but I did know I was taking a bit of gamble here ordering internationally.

This morning I received a whopping invoice from customs, I have had to pay in just under what the whole order cost, just to get my parcel. 😒 If I don't it gets sent back, and then if Roka don't then cover those fees, then the package gets destroyed. So I've paid it. And on my clearance certificate they have to state what is in there, and it's says polyester bag. So I'm not even getting the canvas one it seems.

I don't feel quite so excited anymore. Once I've converted all the costs, it's been a very expensive gamble.

So no matter what is in there, I will use every day until they wear out, just so I get my monies worth.

(And I'm supposed to be on no spend 2024, bit thought I'd scraped this though as I ordered in December).

Fingers crossed it's something you like. They're such well made bags, I really like them, both the nylon & canvas.

I didn’t get a dispatch email although I’ve been constantly checking, but these have just arrived.
I love the bantry and the Kennington but I won’t use the hip bag, if anyone is interested in a swap?

I'm in South Africa. I thought there may be some duties to pay but I didn't expect it to be as much as the value of the order.

I think I might also be able to work out what I might be getting as they had to state values. One which now costs 35gbp and one 17gbp. I haven't even been back on to the site to see what they are likely to be, but obviously they are lower priced items.
I ordered a medium and a large.

So my invoice total was 52gbp that I have had to pay customs and duties on top of that of 50gbp.

Does anyone have a midi they're looking to swap? I just opened a paddington b in teal, which is very nice but I already have a teal roka so I'd quite like a different colour (either another paddington b or different midi)

Where does roka, ship from? According to the tracking, my parcel seems to be in Germany, and hasn't moved from there for the last 5 days. 🤔 (I'm in Ireland)

@isthismylifenow The canvas bags are made of polyester too - this is what their website says "Recycled Canvas is made from post-consumer waste, that’s used plastic bottles and containers that are cleaned, chipped and spun into polyester yarn. Our recycled (rPET) canvas material has a matte look and textured feel."

I have both canvas and nylon Roka bags and actually prefer the nylon but both are fine.

I can see from my customs tracking that mine has gone from Northampton to Birmingham to Heathrow, now to Johannesburg. So mine was definitely shipped from the UK. I thought it may come from the USA as mine was all in dollars, but I changed that back to pounds now so I can try work out what is on the way from the values. But there doesn't seem to be anything on their site with those exact values.

We have to take a gamble from time to time I suppose. Whatever I do get, I am absolutely going to have to learn to love it even if I am not fully convinced at first 😀

Been a delight following this thread and thought I would share my haul with you, very pleased in the main not so sure about the bright green Canfield it may end up on Vinted.

Mine has finally turned up, and I'm thrilled with it (thanks Jophin!) - a small Finchley A in ocean. The colour is perfect for me and it's a decent size for a small (I got a med plum Finchley in last year's LD and assumed the small would be much smaller than it is).

@WonderfulRachel I think I will get more use out of this than a patterned one (not that you necessarily would have liked this one anyway!) but I hope you have found or find a swap for your lovely one.

My second lot of bags arrived today. Large cranberry bantry and a corn Paddington. So happy with all 4 of my bags. A lovely range of colours and sizes. Did think I’d be swapping/selling at least one but love them all. 🥰

Has anyone had a reply from Roka after emailing them? Emailed nearly a week ago and no response.
Ordered one of each and received 2 small lucky dips and no large. I’m a bit miffed that I’ve paid £30 for a carnaby wallet.
