What colour tights & shoes with navy dress?

I got a lovely navy dress for Christmas. I think navy tights and shoes will be a bit blah with it. I've purple/aubergine tights and loafers that will work in winter and silver shoes for bare legged summer wear, but any ideas for other colours?

Great tights are good with navy dresses, if you want to avoid cabin crew styleee navy with navy.

Yes, that's my fear! Grey tights is a good idea. What colour shoes would you do? I have a pair of really nice chunky not quite biker boots that I think would work with black tights.

My young one would were thin ish black tights probably with chunky black shoes/ boots. Or a lacy tight. I think that’s probably the most fashionable option. I’m not generally keen on the opaque with contrasting bright shoes look. Coloured tights is very variable can look good but also quite hard to pull off. I’d be tempted to go for a patterned tight with navy or black shoes or boots.

High denier nude tights under fishnets or similar is popular too

Maybe depends on what age you are tho. Im 43 and borderline too old for this now IMO

Mustard yellow for the quirky vibe, grey is a good combo too.
But I'm usually wearing black ones.

I'm wearing thick mustard tights with a navy knitted dress today. I don't need footwear as I'm indoors but if we went out, I'd wear navy suede ankle boots.

A dress that was navy and had black stripes (I think) had a coral red stripe on it so you could try that too but probably sheer opaque ones if they do them.

Im a bit different..id wear a red and navy statement necklace...red tights and navy geek shoes ) navy Mary janes..

It is the Culture Antoinette dress. I got it in a small boutique in Dublin which may not be helpful!

Thanks everyone for so many good ideas. I found a lovely pair of navy and cream brogues in a sale that would work for most of the year so I might treat myself to them as a starting point.
