What perfume do you wear for winter/Christmas?

I fancy a new perfume for the winter/Christmas period. And would love to know what you all wear?
I don’t like anything with rose in it. Apart from that I’m open to suggestions. 😊

If you like incense Elizabeth Taylor Passion is fantastic - very Christmassy

oooh I'm ALWAYS on the hunt for new incense perfumes, particularly frankincense.

In winter I wear:
L'Artisan Parfumeur Passage D'Enfer - but only around Christmas, very dry, airy frankincense.
L'Artisan Parfumeur Ambre Extreme - warm amber
Tauer Perfumes Au Coeur Du Desert - best perfume ever, I wear it in summer too (as well as its glorious sister L'Air Du Desert Marocain). Glorious layers of resins, spices, smoke and amber with some florals wafting in and out.
Miller Harris La Fumee - smoky rich incense
Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan - thick golden amber and spices
Serge Lutens Arabie - dark boozy Christmas cake in a bottle
Agent Provocateur L'Agent - a very sexy frankincense with some myrrh and Ylang Ylang. Always commented on.
By Kilian Back to Black - honey sweet tobacco

I love this time of year for fragrance.

Timbuktu by Artisan Parfumeur is a brilliant one for winter - dry and spicy and woody.

Another fig fan here - Philosykos is absolutely delicious but so is Premier Figuier by Artisan Parfumeur and Figue Amere by Miller Harris. And I got both of those from TK Maxx.

Guerlain, years ago, did an Aqua Allegorica called Delice d'Hiver, which smelt of pine trees and snow and Christmas spices. I have the very last dregs of a bottle that I am eking out this year.

I cannot wear Timbuktu and it drives me mad. It smells beautiful on everyone else I have tried it on, but for some reason I start to get a whiff of "tramp" after a few hours. I have tried it in all weathers too from blisteringly hot days to icy cold and everything in between. One of the notes must hate me. And it is the only perfume that has this weird stinky effect.

It has blown my mind that people choose different perfumes for winter! What a fab idea.

I only wear one perfume all year round because I like it. I could pretend it's my 'signature scent' but really I find perfume very difficult to choose. A lot that sounded/smelled nice I then find I don't like on me. It's just easier to stick with one I know suits me.

That's when I used to wear Aveda Chakra Pure-fume 1 - Motivation, the original square bottle. The newer versions of the chakra range smell nothing like the vintage ones. Suited Andrew Edmunds beautifully!

'I know lots of people think figgy scents are summery, but to me they are wintery! I have a sample of Diptyque Philosykos which I love but it's £££ so am using a cheap (but very nice) one that smells pretty much the same'

Totally agree that fig works better in winter. Would you mind sharing the name of your cheaper alternative?

The first 15 minutes of Halfeti are heavenly, but then it descends into a strong, masculine sandalwood. Such a shame.

I love the name Whispers in the Library - have searched online and it doesn't seem available in the UK - does anyone know differently?

I love Jo Malone's Orange Bitters and Diptyque's L'Ombre Dans L'Eau, but Wrappings by Clinique was my favourite; lots of people would ask what it was when I wore it.

I'm another who wears Clinique Wrappings as it conjures up fresh mountain air & snow capped conifers, but sadly i really do think it's been discontinued.
Perfumer H Gold is delicious -spiced orange & Pure distance White is also beautiful - beautifully blended Rose &:patchouli that's so smooth & warming.
Also Marina Barcenilla Patchouli Clouds - pure organic Perfumery at its best.
