I fancy a new perfume for the winter/Christmas period. And would love to know what you all wear?
I don’t like anything with rose in it. Apart from that I’m open to suggestions. 😊
thank you so much x

Idols by lancome or Chanel chance in winter/ evenings.
In summer, Ralph Lauren romance or Sol de janeiro sprays.

martinirossi · 14/12/2023 14:22

Another vote for By The Fireplace by Replica. It's smokey and indulgent and just makes me want to curl up at home (sadly I don't have a fireplace!) It has great longevity as well.

JMAngel1 · 14/12/2023 19:25

Angel Share by Killian
Lost Cherry TF
By the Fireplace
Jo Malone. Golden Vanilla and Vetiver

Hankering after Allure by Chanel. I do not need it 😂

Apple Brandy by Killian

Gorgeous

SummaLuvin · 14/12/2023 19:45

Killian, Apple Brandy on the Rocks
Diptyque, Eau Duelle

Shortkiwi · 14/12/2023 19:50

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir - always wear it in Winter

Jeannie88 · 14/12/2023 19:54

Anything I get as a present really, plus any I like the smell of. Favourites are soap and glory original pink as you smell like you've just stepped out of a shower and be delicious as the apple fragrance is just divine!

Bichette · 14/12/2023 20:14

Chanel Allure in the winter
Gabrielle in the summer

SqueakyDinosaur · 14/12/2023 20:25

Timbuktu by Artisan Parfumeur is a brilliant one for winter - dry and spicy and woody.

Another fig fan here - Philosykos is absolutely delicious but so is Premier Figuier by Artisan Parfumeur and Figue Amere by Miller Harris. And I got both of those from TK Maxx.

Guerlain, years ago, did an Aqua Allegorica called Delice d'Hiver, which smelt of pine trees and snow and Christmas spices. I have the very last dregs of a bottle that I am eking out this year.

caringcarer · 14/12/2023 20:27

Dior Poison.

Blueberrycreampie · 14/12/2023 21:17

Just remembered I used to love Guerlain Shalimar - it was such a wonderful spicy warm scent and beautiful in the winter. That was in the 80s though so suspect it's like all the others and has been reformulated.

Another one for Apple Brandy.

it is gorgeous. I hummed and hawed between it and Angel Share for weeks.

It’s strange how the same fragrances are being mentioned all the time.

Brody77 · 14/12/2023 21:30

my all time favourite is figue amere by miller harris but I thought they stopped making it Sad I have a bottle I’m only using for special occasions

Prettyinred · 14/12/2023 21:42

Thanks ladies! So many suggestions.
i have the day off tomorrow so off to John Lewis 😍

Chanel No5 Perfume (not EDP or EDT). The old school ‘dopper’ bottle of the pure perfume. Rich, creamy, warm and soft. Original and best. Warm, captivating, inviting, elegant, ballsy and the epitome of a confident hostess. Envelopes guests. Sparkle in a bottle.

Coco Chanel - worn today for a long boozy lunch in Soho. The restaurant was one of the areas longest running; a Georgian townhouse that’s dark, haphazard, small, candle lit and intimate. Restaurant heaven. The scent was perfect for a lunch that started with a glass of champagne at 2pm, went on to 2 bottles of red and finished with cheese, espresso and port at 6pm. A small amount sprayed onto throat and hair - the intensity of incense with the promise of sex…

La Vie Est Belle Intensement - perfect for any winter At Home occasion. Soft but punchy. Present but not overwhelming. Cashmere in a bottle. Not the original. Rich, warm, welcoming, laid back - it makes one feel like one’s life is The White Company made flesh.

Gucci Memoire D’Une Odeur - quiet Sundays in a bottle. After a Saturday night out, you awaken on Sunday morning; no hangover but tired. You shower and wash your hair. Apply a warm and rich body lotion. And then spray this scent and relax as chamomile & almonds come together to soothe the soul.

@IsItOverYetAndCanIComeOutNow I'm going to guess that the restaurant was Andrew Edmunds?

WhereAreWeNow · 15/12/2023 06:16

Serge Lutens-Femininite du Bois
Penhaligons-Halfeti
Chanel-Cuir de Russie

All warm, spicy, grown up perfumes which I love in the winter.

I love
By the Fireplace- Maison Margiela
Lord of Misrule -Lush
and good old marmite scent Theirry Mugler’s Angel, but only the EDP the EDT isn’t the same smell somehow.

BIossomtoes · 15/12/2023 18:29

Rose en Noir is discontinued and couldn’t be rosier.
