How many jumpers do you own?

I have 4, of which one is too small but is a cashmere roll neck, so can wear under coats, if sure not to take the coat off.

One is new £25 viscose and I never want to take it off. Just ordered the same in 2 other colours and a little embarrassed by this frivolity.

4 that I wear. 2 more than I love but shrunk in the wash :(.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 10/12/2023 22:19

Absolutely loads - at least 30. Some are new, some are 10 years old and still going strong. I live in Scotland, we need jumpers!

WashItTomorrow · 10/12/2023 22:19

Loads. Most of mine are cashmere or merino wool ones from charity shops. I’ve never bought a new one.

Welshphoenix · 10/12/2023 22:44

Absolutely loads, but them I knit my own and tend to add add a new one every Few weeks,

Shortkiwi · 10/12/2023 22:52

Probably around 30 or so. Cheap to expensive. My favourite is a fair isle from Jigsaw last year but also loving atm a very thick cable knit polo neck from Sainsbury’s. Always wear a long sleeved top underneath.

BarelyCoping123 · 10/12/2023 22:53

Loads - different styles - crew-neck, v-neck, turtleneck; short, longish, dress-length. Different colours, but mostly neutrals - black, grey, khaki, brown/beige/neutral.
I am always cold, so wear sweaters a lot!

DreamingInPhosphorescence · 10/12/2023 22:54

Lots. Probably 25-30 but that’s a wild guess as some are packed away. I just bought another today too.

BarelyCoping123 · 10/12/2023 22:55

Oh plus cardigans! Mid-length and long (gave up on short cardigans years ago)

lljkk · 10/12/2023 23:00

Probably at least 10 jumpers & at least 10 hoodies too. Maybe 7 long sleeve Tshirts (day wear, others for night).
I last bought a jumper about 5 years ago and one before that must have been... 10 years ago? I almost never buy anything, most the hoodies & jumpers were inherited from DC or another relative.

On a normal winter day I'm wearing at least 4 layers on my top half, under coat/jacket. + wrist warmers, neck buff, gloves too.

Thighdentitycrisis · 10/12/2023 23:04

About 20 - wool or cashmere worn between November and April
about 10 - cotton jumpers or sweatshirt/ hoodies for summer

MintJulia · 10/12/2023 23:16

A lot since they put the price of electricity up. 😊

1 x Celtic & Co,
1 x original Guernsey,
1 x thick Fair Isle
several Shetland V-necks

and a completely over-the-top Fair Isle tank that I wear with a white shirt and jeans.

aramox1 · 10/12/2023 23:29

About 10. Lots of black. Where do you keep them all?!

Kwasi · 10/12/2023 23:38

Probably 8 knitted jumpers, about 20 hoodies and sweatshirts, two overhead fleeces and then some lightweight going out jumpers. I have been the same size for many years, though, and several of them are over 10 years old. I was also a SAHM until DS was 3, which meant needing several changes of clothes in one day usually.
