How to be more like an Amanda when I'm very much Julia?

Using for context, if anyone watched the show you'll get what I mean!

I agree it's all about money and time, but also the height and the figure. I could spend all the money I like on myself but I'd still look like a potato in a skirt.

Just lookswise:

She knows what suits her. She does shitloads of pilates and watches what she eats.
She always has her hair and make-up done. Nails neat if not painted.
She tends to wear pale colours, I think? Reflects light off the face.
Probs a bIt of botox/filler.
Her teeth are straight and white.

Julia's clothes are often more fashionable but she never does anything with her hair and rarely wears make up. More casual dresser unless she's at work.

Her hair is professionally done
She favours style over comfort
She doesn't wear much basics but rather complicated blouses or dresses
And yes, she's tall and slim.

Personally, I definitely prefer Julia or Meg's styles.

In the TV show Amanda talks about going to the hairdresser often, she also talks about doing pilates, not sure about eating habits.. I think it's just money and time. You can do exercise at home but the hair thing is more tricky...

When they’re in that Airbnb for half term, they show Amanda spending something like an hour each morning doing her hair.

It would take a lot of time and effort (and money) to look that polished

The actress is fabulous though. She’s slim but not too thin

Me too, she looks the less stressed of them all. She is funny, she is slim as Amanda too and she has a nice lover relationship not like the others with cheating or absent husbands..

I think Julia is very stylish, in that relaxed, slightly unkempt way. I like Liz but a bit too ‘skinny jeans/leather jacket.’’ Amanda is not fashionable and looks overdressed most of the time…

My mother was an Amanda. I’m a Julia. It’s all about effort levels and dedication to looking good as your raison d’etre. I just don’t care enough to put in the work.

Fashionable?! She looks like an exhausted 1990s playgroup assistant most of the time. I love Liz’s clothes in a dressed down way and Meg’s in a dressed up way.

Nope, Julia is highly fashionable. You can often not like someone’s clothes and style but doesn’t mean they are not fashionable.

Amanda is not fashionable. Well put together - yes.

I think Amanda is stylish, but fashionable, no. I think she actually looks quite dated now and it all looks like too much effort.

As for Julia, I like her style, but I definitely wouldn’t consider her to be fashionable. I think she only gets away with it because she’s probably only a size 8. Harsh but true.
Just my opinion!
