you think of your grandmother/s.

I think of Elnett Satin hairspray, Vitapointe intensive hair conditioner and her lovely lipsticks.

Mine used Crowes Cremine to take her makeup off. All the females in my family have loved their makeup actually.

My DM uses Nivea soft to take her makeup off

Blue Grass - Elizabeth Arden

Gnomegnomegnome · 01/12/2023 17:20

Elnett hairspray (still keep some to sniff)
vosene shampoo
horse chestnut bubble bath (can’t remember brand)
Ponds cold cream
Evening in Paris perfume
Hair rollers!

Although not style or beauty but the dolly cover that hid the toilet roll!

declutteringmymind · 01/12/2023 17:22

Staple Indian grandma smell.

eyeofthehurricane · 01/12/2023 17:22

Oil of Ulay.

ChrisPriss · 01/12/2023 17:24

Both my grandmothers used red lipstick which had a specific scent, sort of candle waxy and like lily flowers

gingercat02 · 01/12/2023 17:24

Paternal Nan Ponds Cold cream. Maternal Nan Max Factor pressed powder and pan stick

tobee · 01/12/2023 17:25

Oh and Chanel No 5. I have my grandmother's 1970s sponge bag with her Scrabble tiles in and it still faintly whiffs of it! Smile

SqueakyDinosaur · 01/12/2023 17:26

Cremolia hand cream with the blue and gold label, and Tweed and Miss Dior perfumes.

eyeofthehurricane · 01/12/2023 17:27

One of my grans also had lovely handbags.

SqueakyDinosaur · 01/12/2023 17:27

Oh, and Cyclax moisturiser.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 01/12/2023 17:28

I never met either of my grandmothers, but Youth Dew perfume makes me think of my late aunt, who would have been nearly 100 if she hadn't died in her 70s.

TitilatedOcelot · 01/12/2023 17:36

Nivea cream in a blue tin and 4711 cologne.

BoobyDazzler · 01/12/2023 17:40

GM 1 who is sadly no longer with us used Wrights Coal Tar soap. I have some which I like a sniff of occasionally.

GM2 who is still live and kicking - anything home made ❤️

KirstenBlest · 01/12/2023 17:52

Oil of Ulay

eyeofthehurricane · 01/12/2023 17:55

Ooh, yes.

Mum used to use Oil of Ulay.

OP posts:
NooNakedJacuzziness · 01/12/2023 17:58
