I spend most of the day with my hair tied up in a pony tail as it annoys me, especially when I haven't had chance to straighten it. Have been thinking of having it cut short.

Last time I did it was a few years ago and I always end up looking about 12.

I had it cut a while ago and it wasn't like the picture and was shorter than I was ecpecting so I figured this time I would grow it really long but....

Yes I do think that would suit you, actually. Would need a good hairdresser to get it right.

I don't think thats a hairstyle...looks like she is trying to grow it out. I looked at your picture and think you have a lovely shaped face, and a bob, a trendy one, would really suit you.

I have decided I am getting my hair done on Sturday. Just a question of how.

My shampoo has made my hair really dry when it is usually in lovely condition so have convinced myself I need a good few inches off anyway.

Hubby likes my hair long but...

my dp is like that i'd like to chop mine off in a nice bob atm i look like a mad 80s rock singer.

i still think you should go with the short at sides and back but hairdresser will probably advise you better.

can i just jump in here and say that i think that if you went for an inverted bob a la VB it would suit your fabulous bone structure!!!! maybe don't be as extreme as her and I would never advocate copying that woman but you do have wonderful cheek bones and jaw line that deserve a fab frame. Ask the hairdresser. if they're any good they will take time to talk to you before doing anything

I got my longer, wavy, hedge-backwards-hair cut back to an inverted bob the other week and am so relieved. it's shaped into the nape of my neck, rather than shaved a bit up the back so that I didn't feel I'd gone too drastically short and the longer bits at the side frame my face. I have to have a fringe.

ime having a change of hairstyle does wonders for you!

You're not ugly. Actually, I look a bit like you and until recently my hair was quite similar (but I suspect I have more greys). My friend recently cut it to give it a 'bit more body' and I quite like it.
