As pp said most things woul go with it. I'd steer clear of black because mismatched blacks don't look good. If I was slim enough I'd wear it with a cream tank

Thanks very much. Would you really put cream with it? Yes in fairly slim. I like the idea of a simple top with it also.

I think black is fine as long as the texture is right. I think velvet is quite heavy so looks better with darker colours personally.

I'd go for a draped satin, or preferably silk, shirt, unbuttoned a little, sleeves rolled up. Maybe red for Christmas, or champagne gold, or a jewel tone.

Or if less dressy, then a high neck slim fitting knit, maybe something ribbed.

That top is hideous. I agree, a silk shirt a la Gillian Anderson would be gorgeous.

I’ve got a skirt like this but without the fringe. I wear it with a very tight burgundy turtle neck, or a v neck body with lace trim (but as I say, mine has no fringe so allows for some decoration on top)

this is hideous. cheap looking polyester and unsure whether it's a peplum top or not. Defo not for that skirt.

Lovely as an individual piece but might be too dark overall with a black skirt (I've made that mistake). I think for Christmas, something in silver or metallic/sparkly. Cream or some shade of white would go, but I always think "pint of Guiness" when someone's in a white top and black bottoms.

Not totally sure about the embellishment but I think this sort of shape top looks great with short skirts. (Also love the idea of forest green top!)

Red wine sleeveless top with a V cut to show a minimal exposure of cleavage is what I prefer to do.

But red wine colour top will suit like a classic.

You can love them but they are not at all suitable for that outfit.

Proportions are off- the silver buckle, the chocolate leather on the horrid plastic heel- looks very cheap. Might as well stick on wheels and make them heelys
