Fresh faced glow for mature skin?

I'm after something that I can wear with or without make up that will give me a bit of a natural glow. Not too shimmery or bronzing, just a cream or drops I can add to my moisturiser to give me a bit of a lift. I'm 53, fair neutral coloured skin, not too wrinkly, some freckles, non-sensitive skin - normal/dry.

Does such a thing exist?! I like the Fenty drop'lit but the shades aren't quite right

Jones Road
I’m telling everyone about it, it’s amazing. Unfortunately only online, unless you can get to Liberty’s. I’m 55.

Can you wear it on its own? Your photo looks great!

BitOutOfPractice · 19/11/2023 23:58

Op I’m watching with interest. This is my holy grail.

Lamelie · 20/11/2023 00:01

I’m new to it so am using the miracle balm as a primer. There’s a Facebook group, JonesRoadies I think with lots of pics and suggestions. Honestly I’m so happy with it- I’ve always had awful dull sallow skin, spots and wrinkles and it’s better than it’s ever been.

Lamelie · 20/11/2023 00:13

Here’s another pic. It’s not very make upy- you can see my pores and wrinkles but looks like natural skin. It also feels amazing, slightly herbal- camomile, a balm.

@Lamelie which shade are you using or is it the clear one? Looks great!

LaurieStrode · 20/11/2023 01:26

Is it the Miracle Balm?

Lamelie · 20/11/2023 08:01

It’s miracle balm in rose.
Bronze is also lovely on my skin- golden hour a bit stronger.
I don’t get on so we’ll with their foundation and pencils but I’m happy with the over all ‘not made up but glowy skin’ effect.
As I said upthread I’m 54 and always had ‘bad skin’ this is the first time in my life I’ve ever been happy with it. I think because it’s a balm so constantly moisturising it’s definitely improved my skin as well as looking lovely on.

Trinny London BFF 👍

I like the Tan Luxe tanning drops

43ontherocksporfavor · 20/11/2023 11:12

VIt c serum of at least 12% every morning. I use Revolution 20% and my skin has a dewy glow afterwards. I’m 52.

Garlicnaan · 20/11/2023 11:21

Would Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter do this?

I find the Jones Road balms too sticky

Amiable · 20/11/2023 13:08

Ooh thankyou for all these fab suggestions!

@Lamelie - do you use it all over, or just cheekbones? Some of the reviews say it's glittery?!

@Drpawpawspaw which BFF? I've looked on the website and there a several different ones? Is it the de-stress?

@43ontherocksporfavor I do use vitamin C but it's not that high a % so I will have to give that a go.

@exexpat I was looking at the Ginzing range before I posted!

I can see my Christmas shopping will end up being mostly for myself... the kids don't really need presents do they?!

Clinique Light Reflecting primer.

Squirrelsnut · 20/11/2023 13:35

Skinny Tan Notox Drops are good on my extremely pale skin. I just put 2 in my moisturiser every day as I need it to be very subtle.

grayhairdontcare · 20/11/2023 14:01

I use Estée Lauder daywear. It's gooey with a bit of colour

GettingStuffed · 20/11/2023 15:12

I use these they look very pink in the bottle but they're only a hint of pink on the skin

I love the healthy glow it gives you. Are you also wearing foundation?

Lamelie · 20/11/2023 16:49

No and my skin is not good! It blurs and softens.

UnbreakMyFart · 20/11/2023 16:57

I was looking at that Jones Rd product the other week but the advertising is so bad I couldn’t work out what to do with it. Do you put it over your whole face, like moisturiser? Or is it supposed to be used as a highlighter or blush?

Amiable · 20/11/2023 17:50

@GettingStuffed did you mean to add a photo?
