Fresh faced glow for mature skin?

I'm after something that I can wear with or without make up that will give me a bit of a natural glow. Not too shimmery or bronzing, just a cream or drops I can add to my moisturiser to give me a bit of a lift. I'm 53, fair neutral coloured skin, not too wrinkly, some freckles, non-sensitive skin - normal/dry.

Does such a thing exist?! I like the Fenty drop'lit but the shades aren't quite right

I am really enjoying Jones road miracle balm but if you read the reviews there are lots of people who say it's a very expensive tub of vaseline. It is expensive, so I ordered a couple of tester pots on Ebay and loved it, then I bought a big one. You put a little bit on your fingertips and tap it on. I have dusty rose and sun kissed and you can use it anywhere, though the rose one is good as a blush. If you go to the Jones Road website you can see some of them have a glittery shine, some don't - also a shade chooser thing. It was spot on for me, though I did go and buy at Liberty because it's on offer there. There are loads of people selling testers on ebay - really worth a try. I'm older than the OP and it works for me - it just adds a bit of a glow. the only other thing I wear is a gradual tan which helps with looking less dead. Hope that helps someone!

I follow Salli Hughes on insta, and she was raving about Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. I've just ordered some for DD and myself (the small size). It does have plenty of good reviews.

Looking for the glowy but not shiny look.

Jones road dupe of miracle balm is by revolution. And it's amazing. Lovely smell, really light on. I use the nude one and a darker one. Nude makes tiny wrinkles disappear, and a nice glow.
Will be repurchasing it's that good.

What's the Revolution one called?

lollipoprainbow · 21/11/2023 23:12

Just ordered myself the Jones road miracle balm!

RoseAndRose · 21/11/2023 23:44

Thank you - I thought it was familiar from somewhere.

I might go for a delivery though, as I've just loaded up an online basket with a couple of shades of their dupe and some stocking fillers for DD

Livida · 22/11/2023 09:44

Just popping on to say that I recommend the revolution dupe too. My favourite is Golden Hour because there's no colour, it just gives you the glow. I dot it on my cheekbones with a brush over blusher. It's brill!

RainbowZebraWarrior · 22/11/2023 09:51

Following with interest.

I was just looking at Revolution on the Superdrug website last night. There's a free goodie bag if you spend over £15 (on Revolution products)

After posting that link to the Superdrug site, I can't find the glow balm on it! Have found it on a BF deal on Amazon though for £4.20

Thanks for this, I love Revolution products. Their Miracle Balm is a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream and it's pretty good for a fraction of the price.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 22/11/2023 12:20

I find the Jones Road balm really waxy and hard to blend. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

I prefer the Bobbi Brown cream blushers. Don't be put off by the brightness of the colours: they are much more subtle on the skin

harriethoyle · 22/11/2023 12:37

@faustina thanks for the ebay tip - just ordered the three shades I thought I might be for £3.5 per pot! avoids an expensive mistake 😆

faustina · 22/11/2023 12:48

@harriethoyle - you're very welcome - I still haven't finished my tester pots- you only need a tiny tiny amount each time. I have one big pot now but the small ones are still in use!

ChoupetteTheCat · 25/11/2023 09:55

The Revolution Balm Glow is only £3.60 today on Amazon Black Friday deal. I have just ordered one.

Deal of the day: Revolution Beauty London, Balm Glow, Multi-Use Cheek and Lip Balm, Buildable, Dewy Finish, Rose Pink, 32g amzn.eu/d/gRNMzyY

Middleaugust · 29/11/2023 09:24

The Revolution balm isn't doing much for me - is it possible it needs warming slightly as my bathroom is quite cold so it's not really going on much?

Ebokebok · 01/12/2023 16:54

@Middleaugust You need to dig into it a bit and almost crack the top layer, same as the Jones Road ones.

MadamVastra · 01/12/2023 16:59

I have not rtwt sorry but if it's not already been mentioned I love benefit high beam you can mix it with moisturiser or whatever or dot it on

Middleaugust · 01/12/2023 17:00

Thanks. I will try that

3luckystars · 01/12/2023 17:40

I got one in the Amazon sale too, thanks!

MerryMidwinter · 05/12/2023 20:08

Did everyone else know that Jones Road is Bobbi Brown? I didn’t and now I want the whole collection!
