Next best (cheaper) thing to Elemis please!

I got the Elemis cleansing balm as part of a beauty box and would LOVE to get the Elemis pro-collagen Marine moisturiser but the cheapest I’ve found it is £74 (Amazon).

It’s too much money for me.

Are there any similar moisturisers out there but much more budget-friendly?

I’m 54 with combination skin.

Is there anyway of bagging a tester anywhere? I've not tried the cleansing balm, but would've been gutted to spend this on the moisturiser. I think I got mine in a beauty advent calendar, if that's an option?

I used to use the marine cream but couldn’t justify the cost…. I now use Superdrug’s Optimum collagen moisturiser and my skin is the same as it was with the Elemis.

I don't know if free gifts are still a 'thing' because I don't buy magazines any more but a few years ago Marie Claire (at around £4) was giving away 15ml of the Marine cream which was amazing value ..... I think I bought around 17 copies just to get the cream which lasted me years.

Maybe worth keeping an eye out?

I did the same and got the M€S one. It's fine but it's oilier and runnier than Elemis.

I have an Aldi one in my stash to try when I'm finished this one.

On minis so you can try before you buy, last time I was in a big Boots, their beauty minis section had little Elemis cleansing balms and an empty basin which had had the marine cream minis I think.

During lockdown I completely revamped my skincare. Before I was using all Estée Lauder and Elemis. The advice, generally, from skincare experts was not to spend much money on cleansers or moisturisers and to save big spending for active ingredients like Vitamin C and Retinol.

Cleansing balm, I now use The Inkey List Oat Balm Cleanser and moisturiser I now use Byoma Gel Moisturiser and Curel Moisture Milk.

My skin is now much better, for much less money!

I'm a similar age op. After decades of being able to use cheaper stuff my skin decided it only liked more expensive stuff. Its say if you really like this product buy it, look for sales, but get the stuff you like.

If you’re new to QVC use the code FIVE4U for a fiver off. There are always Elemis deals on there and the TSVs - especially the November pre-Christmas one - are really good value. They’re usually available from the Monday, with the actual TSV itself being always on the Sunday (or Saturday night from 21.00).

Don’t think I’ve ever paid full RRP for Elemis, thanks to QVC. Elemis itself usually has a GWP (gift with purchase), usually travel sizes, and now and then they do a 3 for the price of 2 offer, but it’s still expensive, and given it’s a British brand I’m not sure how they can justify their recent price rise when their mark-up is already so high.

Thanks for the tsv pic. So looks like all sets have original cleansing balm, either Tonka bean, frangipani or ginger and lime(not 100%) on that shower gel and body cream, toner, marine cream,bag and the little blue thing is maybe eye cream or renewal serum?

Always get on QVC the offers are great and it's really worth it.

I borrowed my mums moisturiser recently when on holiday and couldn’t be bothered to go and find my own! She had a lacura one, it was just like smearing Nivea on my face! Very greasy and heavy, I didn’t like it at all and had to go and wash my face and find mine after all! serves me right for being lazy 😂

I don't mind paying out for Elemis, it's a treat for me. I used the pay in three and let it roll over. However I picked up some Inkey cleansers in B&M and tried Avon Anew platinum day/night and I'd say that my skin is better, I'm 56.

I've just watched Keeley's live on FB about the upcoming Elemis TSV that goes live on Monday.
The Green bag is the new Fig bath/shower cream & body butter balm.
Red bag is Frangipani bath/shower & body butter balm
Beige Gold bag is Warm Tonka & Vanilla bath/shower & body balm.

I like the sound of the fig one but I prefer the red bag over the green one.

The frangipani is really lovely!
