What is everyone wearing on their bottom half in the winter? I normally just stick on some jeans and a jumper but would like to mix it up this year, thanks 😊

I’m living in these at the moment, but mainly because I’m pregnant and they are the softest comfiest thing ever.

I have been browsing at M&S and found this: https://www.marksandspencer.com/cord-high-waisted-leggings/p/clp60604730?intid=mobile_app_pdp_share

Cords from toast or brora

Following with interest. I would love to get a skirt, proper wool mix fabric with lining but very few skirt go well with my body type, I need above the knee length which is not a winter length at all and I need something which can be machine washable. I won’t survive with dry clean only garment. And there is a question of colour…. Am I looking for a unicorn?
I wear black trousers sometimes which are for cooler weather but not very thick and put tights or thin cotton leggings underneath. It helps.

I love this! But how to pull it off without looking frumpy? I wouldn't wear trainers personally, I'm more of a boots kind of girl, but which kind would work 🧐

vestedinterests · 15/09/2023 10:47

I like the first pic but I wouldn't wear beige tights, black will look weird so what else?

Give0fecks · 15/09/2023 10:56

I love cord trousers, I need a pair. Those m&s ones have some lovely colours but I think I’d prefer something that looked a bit less legging-y and more like trousers. Any recommendations?

I'd wear light gray or brown wool or cotton mix tights with boots

I'm quite into tailored trousers at the moment or something wide leg but jeans are always a go to, or a longer length skirt. I layer jumpers over dresses quite a bit in the winter and add in tights, chunky boots etc. If the jumper is longer in length than is ideal I just put a belt on with the dress and tuck the jumper up into that to get a more cropped appearance and give it some shape.

I've been looking at these online, but I can't tell from the pics if they actually look like cord like as I imagine it, with ridges (fine, not jumbo or anything). Has anyone seen them irl who can verify?

I wear woollen tube skirts, midi-length, with jumpers and boots. Or wide-legged trousers or culottes.

FelicityFlops · 15/09/2023 12:03

Brax cords or velvet trousers.
I really like the Marta skirt and ther is 20% off as well, but they do not ship to my country of residence.

I have the m&s cord look leggings for dog walks, but after one year they do need replacing as the fabric fades after so much washing.

I ordered this a couple of days ago with the same thought - how to wear jumpers with something other than jeans (I love jumpers, and I love jeans but branching out!) Hasn't arrived yet so not sure if it'll work https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.1177629001.html

Use Shop and Ship. You buy and give the local address from their adddreas bqnk, to a local address and then they send it on to you

I wear A-line mini skirts or leggings. I'm long waisted and a bit pear shaped, despite not being overweight, so I find it quite hard to find trousers that flatter my shape.
