Is Beautypie worth it?

I’ve started a free 30 day trial with beautypie and then there is a one of cost of £59.00 to pay for the year to access member prices? I just wondered if it’s any good? I’m not sure I’ll know within 30 days any difference to my skin? Thanks :-)

I understand that but do you tend to buy each month to make it worthwhile

Abra1t · 25/08/2023 12:53

I like the super-retinal night cream for eyes, the super brow precision pencil and the super healthy skin cream.

my trial runs out soon and I will reorder the eyecream even though I haven’t run out.

I don’t, no. I try new things and replace empties periodically the way I would with any other retailer.

Hmm

Do people ever share membership?
It won't be allowed officially, but if you and your friend contribute £30 a year each, then you can have your run of the products and pay half the price.

The Super Pore detox and Fruitzyme masks are brilliant

Hmm

Am I missing something? You asked a question and I gave you an honest answer.

Only if you buy enough. I ended up cancelling with £100s in credit as I only purchased a few items regularly. The stuff is nice and didn't irratate my sensitive skin, but not nice enough to justify the fee.

That wasn’t credit; it would have been spending allowance. They used to have a system of giving you a monthly allowance based on the supposed retail prices of the products, and it varied according to your membership level. It caused a lot of confusion so they got rid of it and now just have a monthly and an annual membership.

I am a big fan OP. Their skincare suits me as someone who’s interested in actives etc but not willing to shop with an open dictionary at eg the Ordinary. Certainly their skincare is much more effective on me than significantly more expensive products from eg Drunk Elephant.

There are some nice things. It depends how much you use otherwise. For me, I use basic moisturiser, spf and Tretinoin on my face so having access to serums etc just became jot that worth it. I also didn't feel they were that much better than a regular £20 serum.
As pp has said - the suggested retail price seems way off.
The hair stuff I wasn't bothered with apart from the smooth booster - that's VERY good.
I cancelled earlier this year after I'd started seeing so many influencers and the TV advert and pop up shop in London just did it for me.
When it first came out Marcia Kilgore said that most of the cost of a product comes from glossy adverts and stores. When you start doing glossy ads and have a store it makes me wonder then what they are actually saving money on any more in order to save ME the mark up.

This is a really good point!
