Would I suit either of these hair styles?

Thinking of chopping it all off! Would either of these suit me? I'm worried short hair will make my face look chubby.

I think you would look good, but then I love women with short hair. You have a lovely face and nice skin, so I think it would suit.

BalloonSlayer · 16/08/2023 20:06

You are very pretty and either would look great

BansheeofInisherin · 16/08/2023 20:06

Who is the first woman, please? Is she famous?

continentallentil · 16/08/2023 20:07

Fine I think, as long as you are single of chin and have a fairly defined jawline (you can’t see in the photo)

Missingmyusername · 16/08/2023 20:08

I don’t see why not, couldn’t you just tie it in to a bun? That would pretty much give you an idea.
I think there would be quite a bit of maintenance involved in that style.

I did try but my layers are quite long so looked more bob length. I see what you're saying about maintenance though. I imagine either would look scruffy without regular trims.

I think you'd really suit a bob.

Might be Lily Collins

I had a kind of layered bob at one point, it was a pita. I do have naturally wavy hair, it grows fast. I was going to the salon every four weeks to keep it looking presentable. If you fancy it, try it- you only live once- it’ll grow!
I’m back to my long, wavy low maintenance hair (that I thought took too long to blow dry!)

I've had a bob before and I didn't like the fact I couldn't tie it up but it got in my eyes. I'm hoping if I go a bit shorter this won't be an issue.

Thanks for your comments wise people! I think I will book an appointment tomorrow...
My hairdresser is pretty blunt so if she doesn't think it's a good idea, I'm sure she'll tell me!

Go for it- post a photo of the new do. Enjoy!🙂

AnimalisticBehaviour · 17/08/2023 08:26

I think it would suit you because you have an angular narrow face which is very cute and elfin you would still look very feminine and soft with short hair which some faces can't carry off as well. Yes please for a photo!

DrSbaitso · 17/08/2023 08:34

With your lovely, pixie-like face, yes, I think you'd rock them. Use hair grips or slides to keep it out of your face if need be.

LadyBird1973 · 17/08/2023 08:35

I'm sorry but I don't like them. They are bit reminiscent of the 'Karen' 'talk to the manager' haircut. I hate both of those terms but it's the easiest way to describe them.
I think they look passable in the photos because they are highly styled and photographed well. I'm not sure they'd be so good in real life.
Sorry I don't want to offend you but I wouldn't go for this cut

Galiana · 17/08/2023 08:40

Hmm, I think you'll regret it, but, it's just hair, it grows back!

(I speak as someone who has run the gamut of hairstyles).

TooManyAnimals94 · 17/08/2023 16:46

Conflicting opinions...elfin and feminine or Karen 😂
Was hairdresser's day off today so will call her tomorrow and book... my hair grows quickly if I hate it! Aaaaannd it's nearly hat season anyway 😂

DrSbaitso · 17/08/2023 16:59

If you don't like the cut, don't get it. But don't let the stupid stereotypes of idiot misogynists in 2020 stop you getting it if you like it.

TooManyAnimals94 · 01/09/2023 17:08

I did it! Not quite like the pictures as my hairdresser started cutting and decided my hair was too thick for a messy pixie style but I'm quite pleased with it.

Would I suit either of these hair styles?

You look fab OP! Well done for going for it!

AllTheWatersTurnedToClouds · 01/09/2023 17:10

Oh it's lovely

BansheeofInisherin · 01/09/2023 17:10

I absolutely love it. You look so chic. Really shows off the shape of your face too.

Purpleavocado · 01/09/2023 17:10

It looks great! I used wax or pomade when mine was short to give it definition

LizzieSiddal · 01/09/2023 17:13

Bloody hell you look amazing! Beautiful!

BigOldBlue1 · 01/09/2023 17:14

Wow. You look about a decade younger than the picture with long hair. Beautiful
