Hi I am a wedding guest at a fancy wedding. I used to like tea dress style dresses and things with waist ties. However 5 years on from my last wedding and I'm now large of tummy and these feel uncomfortable. Can you help. Extra points if its navy blue or black with a print. Preferably maxi but midi would do. Have F boobs - I like a v neck.

Oh no, do you think it's too attention seeky? I dress very alternatively so this was me trying to pick something suitable for a very conservative wedding. Normally they're very relaxed/anything goes, but this one won't be. I didn't actually see any of the other colours of this one until way after my return period. I'm an introvert too, trying to dress "sensibly" but be true to my style. I've never worn a dress so bright.

It’s absolutely fine and not ott at all. I am very tempted by it. But I really don’t need the dress and have several Jolie Moi dresses etc.

Some truly gorgeous suggestions here. I have a big belly and boobs but also one of my biggest issues is that I’m only 5’1 and struggle to find things to fit. I love dresses but they are most often just too long. The fashion industry assumes short women are petite all over…err, no! 😭

That sounds perfect for you then! My usual style is very plain so I think the difference is what will make me uncomfortable with compliments.

Ah I tried one of those in the summer for something else. It sat very strangely under my bust and made it look very "frumpy". I think there's just something about my figure that doesn't suit a lot of dresses :(

Gorgeous ‘Little Mistress’ dresses on SimplyBe. This is also available in navy blue. I got a gorgeous Angel sleeves one the other day for a wedding and it covers my big belly and feels really nice on!

What a shame! But it just goes to show that we are all different and require different cuts and styles of clothing to look good.

I just thought I'd suggest it because I also have a tummy and for me it hides it.

I'm 5ft 9" size 14 & apple shaped so I hope it's flattering on.

I don't even have a wedding to go to. It just looked too nice to pass by...

I am a 14 and 5'10". Shape wise I am straight/mild hourglass, but with a belly. For me it is perfect, I hope it is for you too!

Way below your budget, but have you lookedy at style cheat? I wore one of these dresses to a wedding a week after giving birth and they were so flattering! Lots of different colours and styles in their pleated dresses

Recently had a wedding and like you haven't been to one since pre lockdown and pre children so was feeling very self conscious. This dress is really flattering and so comfortable. I'm a size 14 and 36FF chest. The buttons on the front aren't real so no gaping around the bust. Definitely have a look through all the Jolie Moi dresses because it comes in a few different styles (short sleeves, wrap front and quite a few colours)
