i started taking Collagen 5 months ago, for joint pain, but I’m thinking there’s a slight improvement to my skin. What do you think?

The left picture is more recent? Then yes.

CollagenQueen · 30/07/2023 09:48

Sorry, yes. The pic on the left was taken today and the pic on the right is from February.

Definitely. I took it for 6 months and didn't get anything like these results so I gave up because of the cost. Congratulations ☺️

Annachristie · 30/07/2023 09:51

The left photo is better than the right one.

Appleblum · 30/07/2023 09:52

Yes there's such a noticeable difference.

Lolalacava · 30/07/2023 09:53

Definite improvement! What sort of collagen do you use?

CollagenQueen · 30/07/2023 10:01

It's Vital Proteins bovine collagen. This is the one that Jennifer Aniston promotes. It's a higher dose than most of the others on the market.

Very interesting! Have you noticed any difference in your hair/nails?

efeslight · 30/07/2023 10:11

Your skin looks so much better and smoother, I am taking a hair, skin and nails supplement every day, might give this a try

bookworm44 · 30/07/2023 10:28

My hands look like the before picture! It's made a huge improvement to your skin. Can i ask please how much it costs, if you don't mind?

Recycledblonde · 30/07/2023 10:29

Has it helped with your joints?

bookworm44 · 30/07/2023 10:30

Sorry, just realised if i click the link i csn see the price 🙈 not cheap is it?!

RunItOff · 30/07/2023 10:51

OP, please can you confirm that the photos are taken with hands equally moisturised, as in it’s not just the immediate temporary hand cream effects on the left side?

If yes, then the difference is amazing - thank you for sharing!

No, sadly. Hair was okay though. Nails still break, like they used to.

I used to take collagen was frightened off by something I read about it increasing cancer chances. Knowing me I only read or understood half the article though! I swear it made a difference. Might try it again. It was the Solgar Hyaluronic acid and collagen on and I’m certain it helped my joints and my skin.

If you subscribe, it's £35 ish a tub, but the tub lasts for a month. Somewhere on that website it says one tub = 2 weeks, but that must be the smaller tub. So, about a £1 a day.

I don't have any hand cream on in either photo. I rarely use hand cream, even though I know that I should! To be honest, although my hands were wrinkly, I didn't really care. I've always had old looking hands, even when I was young. I just happened across the February photo this morning, when I was looking for something else, and it struck me that my hands looked better now than then. Sadly it hasn't helped with saggy neck! But I am definitely not as achy. Before, I was very achy around my lower back and hips, and I was vey stiff - that has definitely improved.

Oh this is interesting! Are there any unwanted side-effects?

Not for me, no.

If I skip my collagen powder my hips and knees start hurting again. For that reason alone, I’ll keep taking it. Mine is cheaper than that one.
I do so much for my skin, I couldn’t attribute the collagen to improvements there but definitely nails have got better. My hair grows like a weed and is thick anyway.

off · 30/07/2023 11:33

This is irrelevant, but in both pictures your fingernails are really lovely.

NotLovingWFH · 30/07/2023 11:39

Do you use one or two scoops a day @CollagenQueen ? I’ve tried different collagen powder before but noticed no difference. Seeing you hands and that it’s helping your joints is making this very tempting and obviously if it’s only one scoop a day it would last that bit longer.

CollagenQueen · 30/07/2023 11:46

I use 2 scoops every morning. Thanks for the nail compliment!

NotLovingWFH · 30/07/2023 11:54

Well @CollagenQueen your hands look so much better and if it’s the one recommended by Jennifer Aniston too then I think I’m willing to splurge and see what it does for me. In my 50s and plenty of room for improvement.
