i started taking Collagen 5 months ago, for joint pain, but I’m thinking there’s a slight improvement to my skin. What do you think?

I see a big difference OP !

I wish there was a vegan equivalent of collagen 😕

If I skip my collagen powder my hips and knees start hurting again. For that reason alone, I’ll keep taking it. Mine is cheaper than that one.
I do so much for my skin, I couldn’t attribute the collagen to improvements there but definitely nails have got better. My hair grows like a weed and is thick anyway.

Which one do you use? I have joint pain and am very interested if this may help. My nails and hair aren't a problem.

I can see a but of a difference between the photos yes - but in all honesty my hands can look like either on any given day and that is dependent on how hydrated they are - if I've been skipping hand cream, washing my hands a lot or doing things around the house they look far worse than they do after a wash and a good layer of cream absorbed in and wrinkles are much more prominent on dry skin, I find. One hand looks a bit drier and more inflamed than the other.

I'm never sure on the consumption of collagen. I have a genetic disease that causes a lack of collagen production and have seen so many specialists, some considered the best in the country. Every single one without fail has said I'd be wasting my money ingesting it, that there is no way for the body to utilise it for specific purposes (eg anti ageing) and that it will ultimately achieve nothing and be removed as waste - and they do recommend other vitamin type supplements happily. With that said I seem to know so many people that take it and swear they've seen visible improvements that i'm always very on the fence.

It’s this one that I use. I keep meaning to switch to marine but given that it works and is tasteless in my morning coffee, it seems silly to switch.

That's me sold!, I've ordered some, desparate to find something that helps with hip and knee pain plus chronic tendonitis. My nails grow really fast and are strong and I've still got thick hair thanks to HRT I think but the aches and pains are awful.

I know this is an old post but did you try it @Recycledblonde and did it work?

Yes I did and am still taking it, the pains are much reduced, not sure if it is due to that but I'll take it as a win.
What has been really dramatic is the skin on the back of my hands and my neck, much less lined and saggy. I;m not very good about wearing gloves or regularly using hand cream and my hands were being to look very old but they've improved massively.

Whoknowswhatanymore · 16/02/2024 04:58

Wow that’s amazing! I will order some and give it a go, hopefully it will help my lower back and any help to my skin, hair and nails will be a lovely bonus! Thank you for replying!

Sure this is an advertisement? It’s so blatant!

Why is it an advertisment?People recommend things all the time on MN and post links. How would I get any benefit from advertising it?
