Triple Lobe Piercing

Hi - I saw someone who had a triple lobe piercing - second and third had really tiny stud earrings and I thought it looked really good.

Whats the general consensus - do they look good or am I having a mid life crisis (47).

Also would you typically just get this done to one ear or both?

thank you!

Check out curated ear! I'd get it on one then something different on the other side. Do you fancy the look of those tunnels?

sleepwhenidie · 27/07/2023 17:17

I am a total midlife cliché, I have triple piercing in one lobe and in other ear I have single lobe and upper helix (wanted them asymmetric). I have a large diamond stud, a diamond huggie and a teeny tiny diamond stud in the triple side- I love them (and may yet get more)

rozzyraspberry · 27/07/2023 18:48

Thank you both - think I’ll start with triple in one ear and see how I get on with that!

I think they're gorgeous (I guess dependent on the jewelry) and have admired many older women with them! It just adds a bit of edge, I think.

travailtotravel · 27/07/2023 19:15

This is me. 2 in 1,3 in the other. Repierced when I was 49. Contemplating the nose again but I think that might be one step too far.

MillicentTrilbyHiggins · 27/07/2023 19:16

My mum has had a triple lobe in one ear for about 30 years. She wears a really tiny stud in the top one.

SquashPenguin · 27/07/2023 19:22

Im 37 and have three in each lobe and my left helix. I think three looks great, I have small huggie hoops and silver studs in holes 2 and 3.

UncleRadley · 27/07/2023 20:42

I've got three in each ear, I only wear small diamond (crystal!) studs in two and three and bigger earrings in the first ones only. I think it looks really nice. I don't think my mum approves (I'm mid-forties!) And don't even mention the tattoo I got on my fortieth birthday 😳

Snugglemonkey · 27/07/2023 21:08

I have both lobes triple pierced. I have a triple forward leis in one ear, double rear the other. One tragus, one rook. Pondering an anti tragus in rook ear. We shall see. I am 42.

TeddyFluff · 28/07/2023 16:46

I have four lobes one side.

itsnothingoriginal · 28/07/2023 17:09

Late 40s and have triple piercing in right ear and a nose piercing. Pondering a conch in the left ear or mid helix.

The older I get, the less I'm bothered about what people (or work) think. It's very empowering 😁

cocksstrideintheevening · 28/07/2023 17:16

I've got a double helix. Single lobes and am getting second lobes tomorrow. I couldn't give a shit what anyone else thinks I love them.

At least they've done properly this time rather than with sewing needle and ice at 14!

Also considering a tattoo so I probably having a mid life crisis

NeverThatSerious · 28/07/2023 17:20

Oh you should do it for sure!! I’ve got triple lobes one side, and first and third the other, as well as helix, forward helix, tragus and inner conch (left) and three helix and daith (right)
I will warn you though, it looks just too pretty to have lots and once you start, it’s hard to stop!!

thinkkook · 28/07/2023 17:21

I've had triple lobe done since I was 16 and now 49. I'm ahead of the trend 😂

Also 'curated' ear - such a pretentious term.

rozzyraspberry · 28/07/2023 20:15

Made an appointment last night and got the triple lobe in my right ear this afternoon. 3 crystal studs in.

My family are all confused as to why it’s only in one ear but they’re all boys so I don’t listen to them 🤣

I’m 37 and have triple lobes on each side, both tragus and one helix. Cliched but lovely!

Perpetualstateofchaos · 28/07/2023 20:24

Ive triple lobes both sides, anti tragus and double helix in 1 ear scaffold and conch in the other.

I think it looks lovely

Pebbles16 · 28/07/2023 20:42

I've had a triple in my left lobe since I was 17 (a gazillion years ago). I did have four helix piercings back in the day but they have long since closed over and I am no longer a fan of needles

Bonfire23 · 28/07/2023 20:44

I have them in both ears
Usually have small hoops and then 2 studs in

theatrical · 28/07/2023 21:01

Very nice actually @rozzyraspberry

I had another lobe piercing last week as me now have two on each side. I do like the idea of three now. I'm embarrassed to say my mother put me off for so long as she always said it was 'common' to have more than one lobe piercing.

I'm going to look for tiny gem earrings when these have healed

itsnothingoriginal · 28/07/2023 21:17

Looks great OP 😃

Snoopsnoggysnog · 28/07/2023 22:23

I’m actually booking myself in for this next week - triple lobes for me and first piercing for my DD. We just agreed on it today. I’m early 40s.

I used to have triple lobes at university so I have a question, can they still pierce me or will the old holes be in the way?

also MN is very sniffy about gun piercings but everyone I know IRL has done this, are they really so bad?

I don't know, but I had a gun piercing for mine as I couldn't face the idea of the needle. My daughter opted for needle piercing for her lobe piercing at the same studio.
