Sadly can't afford the likes of Molton Brown & White Company any more. Had been using radox but it seems to be half water with very little lather any more.

I like gentle products, so for me Sanex Zero or Dove with moisturising ingredients. Or maybe something like shower oil? I remember that Nivea used to make them

coloursquare · 19/07/2023 11:45

Palm Olive definitely the best

Moversnotshakers · 19/07/2023 14:32

I buy Vivian Gray/Vivanel Shower gel. Normally available from TK Maxx for less than a fiver & the bottles are so pretty in the bathroom and they smell amazing. You can also buy them from Notino... I have converted my work colleague and my daughters too and they all buy them.

moderndaywitch · 19/07/2023 14:43

I like the Imperial Leather foam one

Treacle Moon brand. Better than Molton Brown and cheap

Yes these are good. Philosophy dupe and although not quite as thick/long lasting as Philosophy, really good for the price

NancyJoan · 19/07/2023 14:49

I love the Pears one, but currently have a huge pump bottle of something French from TK Maxx that was about £6. They always have lots of nice ones, in huge, huge bottles.

Niftythrifter · 19/07/2023 17:14

Original Source. I buy a big bottle from Home Bargains.

WhereAreWeNow · 19/07/2023 17:53

Sanex or Dove. Pears for lovely smell but I find it a bit drying.

PaniniHead · 19/07/2023 17:55

Original source is my favourite

The waitrose own brand ones for about 95p are great. 3 smells, grapefruit, chamomile and sea breeze (or something like that). Very nice smelling and very good lather. I do have Molton brown and white company but actually just use the cheapies day to day and don’t notice the difference really.

I was about to come on and say the Waitrose ones

TheChosenTwo · 19/07/2023 18:03

I get the source ones for dh, he goes through a bottle in about 5 days so I stock up when they’re on offer, never pay more than a pound (always, everywhere!) and then splash out on my really nice stuff for myself 😂

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/07/2023 18:05

I like the Imperial Leather cotton flower and vanilla shower gel - it’s £1 a bottle at Sainsbury’s, lathers well, and smells nice.

finewelshcheese · 19/07/2023 18:13

I'm very annoyed that sodding radox have taken the handle off the shower gel so I now can't hang it in the shower! Why would they do that?

otherusername · 19/07/2023 18:43

Nivea sunshine love - smells like summer holidays! They don't stock it everywhere but usually have it in savers or wilko for about £1

Well it's shite as well and doesn't lather up, so that's another reason for not buying it.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

The aldi own stuff is great and under 60p for a bottle.

DarlingCoffee · 19/07/2023 19:19

I like Pears and Badedas

sundaymorningbliss · 19/07/2023 19:20

Palmolive, Dove and Nivea

Baldieheid · 19/07/2023 19:35

Palmolive oat and honey. Or palmolive soap. I need a trip into the city to get some Naste Denti soaps from tkmax though as these are my favourite.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 19/07/2023 19:46

Fenjal, Badedas, original source and Waitrose. Nivea with the orange blossom etc is nice too.

Highlandcooo · 19/07/2023 19:51

I buy the soap and glory shower gels, they are expensive individually but always on 3 for 2 so works out about £5 per bottle and they last forever, I bought three in December and I’m only just opening my third! And I shower ever day! I thought with radox etc I was running out every week. I also love Korres, I get them in tkmaxx though.

In Germany Rossman's own brand Isana is very good, lots of flavours under 1 Euro.

And in France Le Petit Marseillais is cheap and lovely, but how is this helpful to somebody presumably in the UK?

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 19/07/2023 20:54

Original source although they slightly changed the coconut one so it's not as nice anymore and dove

PurBal · 19/07/2023 21:00

Waitrose or Pears.

Ultravox · 19/07/2023 21:10

I know you said no soap as it’s messy but I love these French soap on a ropes. There’s no mess because they hang and they last for AGES! I’ve just replaced the one I got for Christmas and I use it every day to wash my not inconsiderable sized body:
